My wife enjoyed a late Sunday breakfast/brunch at this crowded oasis. The omelets were delicious and we had excellent service p. Ave Maria is an interesting village and The Bean provides a great coffee (and more) experience

I sat outside, got to pet someone's dog. Waitress was very nice and friendly. I had a ham and egg sandwich and potatoes. Very good. Fast service. Parked on the street around the corner.

I've gone here consistently for months and the service declined noticeably. The dine in can take up to 2 hours. The takeout would be better but they don't answer the phone and the online option doesn't work. Ordered a fried egg and the white was runny, couldn't send it back because the waiter wouldn't come back, ended up walking it in myself. Overall: slow, rude and not worth it. It's sad because they have potential to be so much better. They appear to be more attentive to new customers.

Went here 10+ years ago and it was great! Walked in recently and the decoration is no longer Catholic and beautiful and the food looked gross so we left. Was so disappointed- wish it had that same ambiance it used to with great meals!

Cute coffee shop and restaurant. The wait was a bit long but they were busy. We were not in a hurry so decided to enjoy the view and ambience. Frappe and food was great and staff was pleasant.

Only Maria has been consistent on service. We seem to get a different price every day we order coffee and muffins. I wish they could keep cranberry muffins in stock! Always lite on those.

Good ambience, but food quality is poor. I ordered a breakfast plate and an avacado sandwich, both order was seemed like left over goods. Hashbrowns were cold and soggy
Eggs were old and cold.
Avacado did not taste good either.
The lady taking orders was nice though..

It's interesting what this place calls a cuban sandwich now. It was sort of my fault for not reading the ingredients as I expected cured ham slices and some sort of pulled pork but what I got was their version of a cuban which contained turkey, tasteless pulled pork, mustard, and no pikles for a forgettable experience. The sandwich itself was not any good and would be bothered to put it on the menu. I had a brother who worked here before so I thought I was going to get the sandwich I used to get, which was pressed down by a panini press but this wasn't even grilled either. A $10 lesson, and I probably won't be back if their cuban is any indication of their food. The cashier was nice which is why this isn't getting a 1*.

Took almost 90 minutes from ordering to food delivery. No excuse for that is acceptable, particularly with their limited menu. Staff kept blaming "outside crowd" but at least two tables near us were seated after us, got their food delivered timely and left before we were served. Burger, nachos, stir fry and chicken and waffles, with wings appetizer. Pretty basic stuff. Been going for nine years... will go elsewhere until we hear about improvements.

Beaneries are hit and miss and I would say for us, The Bean of Ave Maria is a miss. True coffee shops have the ability to brew a good cup of coffee. The proof is in your product not on the sign above the door. On a scale of one to ten, it's a three.
