Good latte, interesting flavor, different, I guess probably due to the beans, it was not a strong traditional coffee taste but it wasn’t bad. I also tried a pischok, which they describe as a spring roll, with banana and chocolate—I don’t need a big breakfast first thing, and it was a good amount, filling enough without being too much.
It’s a long, thin, railroad type setup. There are maybe 5 tables at desk height, then a table more like a coffee table with two chairs, and bar seating facing out the front window. Not a ton of seating for working, and all the tables were full, so I’m not sure whether more people wanted to sit and stay but left.
The bathroom requires a code.

One of my all time favourite coffee shops in the DMV + an ideal place to work from 👩🏻💻
Dua is a cozy, Indonesian coffee shop and has the *best* staff: Josue, Eric - thank you for making the most perfect latte art & always greeting me with a smile and friendly chat! ☕️
Zaid & Juliana, thank you for your warmth!
Get: The Brown Latte (espresso with a hint of brown sugar! How can you go wrong?!)

A very small cafe that is wildly popular, so be prepared to wait in line a while, especially on early morning weekends. I'm not a coffee drinker however the chai was pretty good. Dua offers food as well. The staff was very friendly and the service was good despite how busy they were.

I came by today with a friend because I heard about this spot. It is phenomenal. I got that Kopi Susu. It was rich and creamy with the right out of sweetness. It’s Indonesian owned and the owners met with us and shared their story. They were so nice and have curated a great shop with amazing vibes and coffee. Would definitely return 💯

Excellent pour over! The beef enpanadas were also fantastic. The wait gets long, so arrive early, and note that they only have one bathroom that pretty much stayed occupied the whole time we were here.

Just needed a petite snack to tide myself over until I get home. Tried the cheese & onion empañada--totally flaky and delicious! The cheese & onion were fresh and not fake or overdone, which I really appreciated. The server who took my order was so kind; the vibe in there was relaxed. Will be back to try the coffee.

A new coffee shop in Washington, D.C. are a dime and dozen these days so I walked into Dua Coffee skeptical and walked out a convert. I have no doubt it will become one of the best coffee shops in the city. Here's why:
1) Concept: It's a coffee shop from Indonesia. This is their first international location (we're honored!). The owners have relationships with the coffee farmers and roast quality beans.
2) Coffee: It's good. It's really good. My latte was perfectly brewed. It was smooth, creamy, yet strong. It's tied with Peregrine's as my favorite latte in D.C.
3) Space: At first glance, it's small. The front is narrow, but once you grab your coffee and venture to the back, there's plenty of room to sit on a bench, chair, or at a table with a good book and/or computer to work. The space itself is beautiful letting in natural light that glows off of the white-tiled walls. It's decorated well.
I've been once, but it's already a favorite!

Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The empanadas are fire, I stan. Oat milk cortado never misses.

Not so special, only serves Indonesian bean.

The empanadas were fantastic and hit the spot. The shop was clean and a great place to sit and have a coffee.
