This place is understaffed. I've been 3 times and every time the wait is way too long and not due to the employees because they are working non-stop. A coffee shop with a 30 minute wait time is not feasible.
The employees are nice, food is okay, coffee is overpriced. Location is the only real thing it has going for it.

Bluestone Lane is an Aussie inspired NYC cafe chain spreading throughout Washington, D.C. This Navy Yard location is their third shop in DC (the first being West End and then Georgetown). It's one block from the Navy Yard Metro in the bottom of a new office building around the corner from Rasa.
When you walk in, you'll notice the coffee bar area, window seating, and several small tables throughout the space. It's much smaller than the West End location, but you should still be able to snag a table.
If you download the app for the first time, you'll get $5 in credit. I used my credit for a large latte and a chocolate croissant and ended up having to pay $3.50 after my credit.
My latte was great! It's a darker roast than I am used to, but still very good and smooth. My chocolate croissant was just okay. It clearly was not fresh since it was cold and not warm.

Lovely little coffee shop. This is a lot smaller than the other Bluestone Lane locations I’ve been to but still serves up the same deliciousness.
I’ve only gotten drinks from this specific location but if you download the app you can get a free $5 credit. This is really clutch for on-the-go coffee ordering. This place is cashless, by the way!

My wife and I were thrilled to find this Bluestone Lane in DC, right across the street from our hotel in the Navy Yard. We are fans of Bluestone Lane from eating there in NYC. They have awesome avacado toast, gluten free bread and pastries, and the make excellent coffee. Great service,Zach friendly staff. I would highly recommend it if you haven't been!

We don’t know how the coffee is the rudeness of the 2 “ladies” losers was enough!
If you are frustrated or angry with your accomplishments in life seek help do not work in contact with public!

It was a long wait for the Bluestone in Navy Yard to reopen post-COVID, but well worth it! The staff are so friendly and the coffee and food are as good as I remembered. Looking forward to frequenting this location regularly.

Couldn’t keep track of order tickets, and it wasn’t even busy.

A "large" coffee is smaller than a "short" (small) at Starbucks. And don't be in a hurry when you get there.
The avocado and salmon toast are exceptional! Definitely try one when you are there.
