This place is awesome! The person running it was very busy and so kind! The food and tea are absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back here.
The owner, Mimi, was an absolute delight and was so hospitable. I'm biased towards Ethiopian coffee and cuisine, but this was top notch. The coffee was great -- but what made it best is that the price was the cheapest coffee I've gotten in DC. I was most impressed so many veggie options. It was delicious. Looking forward to coming back.
Got an iced coffee here. Better flavor than the iced coffees and cold brews that I got from all the other places I tried in the area, like The Coupe on 11th street or Doubles, a little further south on Georgia Ave.
Great service! The atmosphere is cute and great for a coffee date or reading a book. I ordered the Green Juice, made with spinach, ginger, lemon, and mint! This place is a hidden gem.
Was just walking around this cute neighborhood hoping to find some sort of egg and cheese/coffee situation despite it being 11:30am, and this cafe was exactly what I was looking for and more! 1. Wanted to support local (especially if immigrant-owned) 2. Reasonably priced breakfast at noon, and anything else being a plus. Not only do they have lovely coffee, the egg & cheese on everything bagel was clearly very thoughtfully cooked. I requested lettuce/onion and she asked if cooked inside the eggs was good or if I wanted it separate, with tomato, jalapeño, etc. how they like to serve it (which is basically my wildest breakfast dream come true.) It was made with onions sautéed into the eggs, delicious minced jalapeño & tomato, cheese, served freshly hot and with a warm smile! The Ethiopian woman who rang it up and also made/served my order was so kind and warm, to top it all off. Highly recommend stopping here if you appreciate local businesses with nuanced and thoughtful cuisine and atmosphere. I really got a sense of Ethiopian hospitality which will last in my memory. Will be back every time I come to DC.
Delicious Ethiopian lunch options, haven't tried their other lunch like sandwiches. Small place, locally owned. Friendly staff. Tibs and the veggie combo are amazing

This was such a treat - the coffee was excellent and the Foul special was absolutely divine (perfect for a hangover)
