East Rock Coffee

Nice little coffee shop in a cute area of east Haven. Coffee is 4/5 nice flavor, a tad bitter but in a good way. A few baked gods in the case. Limited seating inside and a small front deck, the noise from the air system next door is a little annoying but otherwise cool

Cute neighborhood coffee shop that seems popular with the local college students. Friendly service and the food/drinks came out pretty fast.

The bagel sandwiches I ordered were just ok. Nothing spectacular that would make me come back for more.

Very good roast and perfect espresso!

This a great place to grab a coffee and a bite. Coffee is all high qaulity, has a wonderful smell and tastes just right. It feels like a coffee machine is well taken care of and cleaned regulary, so no ash aftertaste. Pastry is fresh, I would even rate local croissants 3.5/5 by an absolute grade and 4.9/5 for US market. Atrisan sandwiches looks good and taste the same.

And I especially recommend this place for a rainy day, feels very cost here.
Only two negative aspects for me are the size and prohibition against sitting here with a loptop.

Big fan of ERC. Great coffee and the staff are awesome. Shout-out to Dave and Sydney for caffeinating the community as long as they have. Hoping they bring back beloved menu items. Cheers!

While the quality is good, waiting 25 min for a coffee is ridiculous. Prioritize your waiting in person customers, or run 2 coffee stations. Sent out the wrong size too, but certainly didn’t try and correct it with that wait time.

Use to be one of my go to place in East Rock. The bagel are fine and original, good taste but unfortunately the customer experience is not enjoyable at all: long wait for 2 bagels even when the cafe is not busy. The staff is having conversation between themselves instead of tending to their customers needs …
This post is the results of multiple visits this past 10 days. Unfortunately I won’t go back.

Okay cappuccino but not very strong. Good prices and no pretense. Hope to be back to try their sandwiches.

Great food, coffee/espresso, and service! There’s almost always a rotation of local artists’ work displayed, cozy seating inside and outside. It’s definitely a local go-to and one of my favorite breakfast spots. They make my favorite fried-egg breakfast sandwiches and I love their lattes!
