After seeing some of the reviews on here, and also being that I’ve been to this place countless times and I know a couple of the people that work there personally, to give a fair and honest review. I’ll start by saying that I understand where some people are coming from by saying the staff can be rude, the staff are very attentive to you and the drinks they make, but I have experienced cold and uninviting vibes at times, but I don’t think these are rude or cold people as much as people that are more focused on their work then making the customer feel comforted and welcomed, which brings me to my next point, the drinks and food are QUALITY and not only in how they taste but you can tell that good intentions go into it and the coffee comes from wholesome sources. It’s a really nice place to go meet a couple of friends , bring your kid, or just sit alone and work because the music is usually at a comfortable volume and there’s never loads of loud people in there. I can imagine that they would never allow for drama or obnoxious behavior there, but you can also tell that it isn’t the kind of place that attracts much negativity. The prices are really nice too

Hands down the best place for specialty drinks. They have a huge range of really tasty and creative coffee/ syrup combinations. Witches Brew is a good one and I ordered something called (I think) Iced Bean Cloud at random and it was really delicious. They also have really good pastries. It is cash only, but there's an atm there that only charges a $2 fee. I've been there a bunch of times and everyone who works there seems polite and professional. Definitely go there.

Cozy and bohemian. Excellent coffee; chill, friendly staff. Very wide menu with some very interesting choices. I visit every time I'm in town and have never been dissatisfied. As a word of warning, though, they are cash-only (as of the writing of this review). They do have an ATM on-site, but it's easier to just have a couple bucks on hand to save yourself the hassle. Still better than starbucks and Dunkin' by a wide mile.

I have been coming here for a long time (signed says that have been open for 8939 days, so close to that). The extra bold, Pony Express blend got me through college night classes..great strong coffee with out the bitter taste. Great people, local art on the walls that is always changing. All are welcome here.

I've been coming here for 20 years!!! It doesn't get better than Klekolo!!! The inviting chill atmosphere, AMAZING coffee, and always friendly people are what make Klekolo special. It truly is like no other coffee shop around. The coffee is EXCELLENT and the price is wonderful. You really get a great cup of coffee for a great price!!!! And just my advice...stay...sit relax enjoy your coffee. It will make your day better!!!! Trust me.

I have been going here for over 20 years. Nowhere else can you get over 25 different coffees, single origin and blends. All of the coffees are fair trade and almost all are organic. Their specialty coffees are superb, and you don't have to choose from just the menu. You can make any combination of flavors they have. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, you can talk to someone or just sit quietly doing work/homework. You can definitely bring children, many patrons do. If anyone is being disrespectful, simply asking them, or pointing out the children, they will usually apologize. I would rather go out of my way to come here than go to Starbucks and have the same coffee they always have, Pikes Peak, seriously do they actually have any other coffee. Also, no matter what they call it, they only make lattes. When you order a cappuccino at Klekolo, you get a real cappuccino, not just a smaller latte.

It appears that this is the "local coffee shop" of Middletown where regulars are known by name and have their "usual" orders. It had a very 70s feel as we walked in, which is not a bad thing. We ordered a pastry, a cup of medium roast coffee and a pink lemonade. The clerk did say that the desserts are sweet and he was very right. The coffee was a bit weak for my taste, but perhaps I simply chose the wrong kind. It tasted like a light roast. Next time, I'll try a dark roast for more flavor. We weren't overly impressed, but we may go back and try again.

This is great place! It has really good coffee and super nice staff! There has been times where I hadn't known what to get and they've made some yummy recommendations. It's a cash only, but there's an ATM inside. Highly recommend this coffee lovers!!

I love this place. And here's a tip. If you don't like having real people make your coffee, or you don't want to sit next to real people who are happy in their own skin, sans yoga pants and skinny jeans, this place may not be up your alley. But if you want something different, such as premo roasts, nifty mixed opptions, and an all are welcome vibe (given you aren't a jerk), then give this place a try. You'll be surprised how some humanity brings out coffee's best flavor.

Too much attitude for mediocre coffee. I try to support local independent coffee shops. This place would be better with a “Permanently Closed” tag. The latte was bitter, expensive, and the place has a scuzzy vibe. The guy serving coffee looked like he had just stepped out of a ‘60s head shop but was missing the mellow attitude. There are other places nearby on Main to get good coffee and real service.
