Story and Soil Coffee

I like the avocado toast with it's salsa and jalapeno additions. For $9 the size was lacking. Unless I'm not factoring in inflation here. Recommendation to visit with a tad bit of caution.

A true Hartford gem worth the parking hassle to go to! This was the first place I had golden milk and I loved it. I am now obsessed. Sarah, Michael and Michael are super knowledgable about all things coffee and super passionate about what they do. They are all super invested in Hartford and as a Hartford native for 46 years, I welcome their energy and dedication to the HartBeat!

S+S has been here for just over a year and it's really grown into an excellent example of accessible, high-end, specialty coffee. Amazing coffee, great service, fresh food, and a sincere dedication to high quality make S+S an integral part of the food and drink scene in Hartford.

Well trained baristas and a welcoming cozy atmosphere. Was just passing through but feels like a beacon for local steamed milk afficianados and close to highway if you need a pick me up on your drive. Oat milk readily aval here.

Great espresso service. My only problem was they didn't have a blend. But that doesn't take away from their attention to detail and offering a great cup. Awesome addition to capitol Ave.

I had no idea they closed as of 3/21 because as of 5/31 they are still active and listed as "open" on the coffee ordering app cloosiv... I placed an order and my card was charged. It wasn't until I got to the shop and saw it was locked and no lights on (there's no sign on the door) that I did some more digging. Called the phone number and it just kept ringing. Finally we saw they posted on facebook and instagram closing after 3/21.... well I don't follow them on social media and I guess I should have completely researched this before ordering? But they should not be on the cloosiv app still taking orders - it's very scammy. I reached out to cloosiv directly and luckily they are going to refund me.

If you are remotely concerned for the pandemic or general sanitary conditions, do NOT go here. I witnessed an employee touching and preparing food with one gloved and one bare hand, who then was hostile to me when I called this out as unsafe protocol. Witnessed multiple customers inside wearing masks incorrectly on chins and employees not enforcing proper mask wearing. Ventilation was very poor inside. If this business wants to survive, employees need to properly adhere to state guidelines.

Spanish Latte did not disappoint. Love that line of cinnamon.

Cortado was good. Free parking.
