Dom's Coffee

Good coffee and lovely atmosphere. However, why do you only have 2 types of bagels? Would be great to have wheat or whole grain on the menu, to add a little diversity.

Place is kind of expensive.. $10 for a medium latte and a chocolate muffin. The muffin was very plain and bland.

So I typically love love love Dom's coffee and I'm hesitant to write this review, but I had a not so pleasant experience the most recent time I went. I ordered my coffee like normal, and once the person at the cash register relayed my order to one of the baristas making my drink, the person making my drink made fun of my order. I ordered a decaf iced mocha latte with almond milk. It wasn't a crazy order. But when he heard the order he repeated it back to the register in a shocked and annoyed tone, then said "what's even the point of that" and laughed (at least I'm pretty sure he said that). It was literally right in front of me and I felt embarrassed and put on the spot for just trying to order coffee. As a barista, I found this is to be very unnecessary and insulting. I've never once judged someone for their drink choices, especially right in front of the customer, in such an intimate space like Dom's coffee. I also know that iced drinks are favored with baristas because they are quicker/easier to make, and it wasn't busy so I don't know why my order would've been an issue. I hope this employee in the future is a little bit more mindful of their surroundings and opinions.

Sandwiches, Coffee/Tea/Drinks, and a Cheese Shop, all excellent. The owner is passionate about the quality of the entire experience.

I felt like I was back in San Diego. Very clean setup, friendly staff, and great product. I don't normally review coffee shops unless they have some serious food... but the coffee was awesome.

I HIGHLY recommend visiting Dom's Coffee and Cheese Shop. The second you enter Doms you are met with comfort and quality. Doms offers much more than your typical coffee shop. From the top notch service to the well prepared food and drink, you won't be disappointed with what this place has to offer.
You instantly become aware of their attention to detail regardless of what you order. Don't just take my word for it, go here and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Some of the best coffee in CT. I have been coming here for years and it’s only gotten better. The seasonal specials are always phenomenal but the classics are very well made. All bread is from Hartford baking co and it is worth standing in line for, even in the cold. Please give it a try!

went earlier this summer and got an iced coffee with a lavender syrup added in, it was amazing. probably one of the best coffees i've ever had. the inside is also really cute and has a nice ambiance. i hope to go again soon :)

The sandwich was great but the coffee was just... coffee. I always order a French vanilla latte when I try someplace new because it's a basic flavor but a latte has enough variance that you'll get a feel for the place's drinks. While it wasn't bad, it wasn't anything to write home about either... a bit on the bitter side for my tastes. I'd go back for the sandwich before I'd go back for the coffee. But I must say the service was lovely. The guys behind the counter were very pleasant and helpful. 👍👍 for customer service.
