I feel like this is *almost* an epic coffee shop. The treats and food look very gourmet, but I hesitated to get one because I'd prefer them hot and there was nothing indicating they warm things up. I chose the seasonal coffee flavor, very exciting! My Latte had 0 Flavor. It tastes like a plain latte.. I was so disappointed 😭 but even with that, it was a perfect consistency (froth-wise) and my one sugar cube made the second half of my drink a little sweet. The sugar cube dispensers were vintage, loved it! The decor was the most adorable, it really feels like the coziest home. They have an open cupboard of board games, too! The seating in the back of the house is soooo stinking cute! I just want to grab a bunch of girls and go! It was packed in there from them posting online earlier this week, which I expected. I did not expect 1 employee to be making all of the drinks and the other not doing anything. Mine and my partners drinks were served separately (which is disappointing because we waited 5min after my latte for a black coffee, after other lattes were served). The employees didn't look like employees, and they both looked kinda tired. I was surprised at how inexpensive this was, even with a tip! All in all: cute little spot but it may not be the most perfect experience.

Very very cute place, small with different little areas for seating. I especially liked the nook in the back, it seemed pretty intimate and cozy but someone was already in there. It’s a quiet kind of coffee place, or at least it was on the Friday we went. They were not playing music in there.
The barista that helped us was also very polite and attentive!! I liked her a lot, she had a kind voice lol.
It’s situated in a shopping plaza so there’s plenty of parking and easy to access.
The coffee is not a wow! fancy! complex taste but still good and warm, and the ham and pesto sandwich we had was tasty. They warmed it up for us. The menu explains each item well. They also have a rewards program.
Thank you!

Such a cute spot to grab a quick coffee or hangout and enjoy the ambiance! They have an outdoor sitting area with a water bowl for doggos. Try the almond danish warmed up - so so good!! The folks there are super nice and truly feels like a “whole in the wall” local favourite. P.S. The minute I walked in, the coffee smelled soooo fresh and automatic. Always a good sign 🤗

Great coffee place! Delicious sweets; vegan, gluten-free options! Very glad we found it on our weekend hike adventures!!! The only thing: I wish there would be relaxing music playing( like they were advertising everywhere). There was no music there today.

I chose this place because they serve organic coffee, but the coffee was so gross this last time I was there that I couldn’t even drink it. And it was like 4$. What a waste. Nasty nasty. And it was cold. The American my husband got was t much better. 9$ on 2 coffees. Gross. This isn’t the first time this has happened here but I tend to go back Bc of the organic. Never again.

This is hands down the best gosh darn coffee shop in woodland. Other coffee shops have potential. Potential to have you waiting for close to 45 minutes for a sandwich. This was not the case with this quaint little cottage I frequent my coffee and snack sessions at. Affordable, friendly, and so much more personal than the quiet chaos seen at the other shops in town. A quick stop before the grocery store, in and out every time makes the Coffee Cottage the perfect place for me.

Passing through town and desperately needed coffee so we thought we would check out a local place. We ordered a energy drink and an iced coffee. When ordering they asked if we were Teller County residents, thought maybe they got a discount or something. We literally waited 30 MINUTES!! ( Go ahead and check my order time and time I was refunded. Longer if you include me being 4th in line.)....Not even for 2 drinks for one! Becasue they made me an iced vanilla latte and when I asked where my iced coffee is they said that is it. I said No I ordered an iced vanilla coffee to which the barista replied that is an iced coffee! Maybe she is new so let me explain and iced coffee is exactly that coffee over ice. An Iced latte is expresso and milk over ice. I do not want MILK or expresso just coffee. At this point it has been 30 minutes and I said just refund me my money ( but of course keep that 20% tip I left. I was also told that Teller County residents get priority, which is why I waited so long! As someone that as worked in coffee ( and could of hopped back there and made my drink correctly in less than a minute) a customer is a customer, regardless of where they are from. Maybe put a sign on your shop that says Teller County residents only. If you are passing through and reading this review just head on over to that corporate chain you will get served correctly and faster.

My wife and I stopped in this weakened to get some coffee on the way to our hike and I had a few thoughts that i wanted to share after our visit.
Positive feedback: We really loved the ambiance of this shop! The lighting was interesting, the seating was really cozy and the environment felt warm and inviting. We also enjoyed much of the art hung on the walls - particularly the piece of temple bar above the condiments section.
Additionally, the barista working the bar was nice and personable. She was the only one in there at the time that we first arrived (I think the other gal running the register had stepped out momentarily), and you could tell the shop had just experienced a bit of a rush. She did a good job at keeping composure, running the bar, and taking orders - props to her! Everything seemed timely given that she was making multiple complex orders, and she seemed to multitask well and efficiently.
less positive feedback: The first thing I noticed when i walked in the door was the coffee roaster in the entry way. This had me excited as I generally love trying out independent and specialty roasts! To get the full experience, i opted for a double espresso. Unfortunately, the espresso was not at all done well.
The first thing I noticed when watching the espresso being prepared was that the shot pulled very fast and had a very weak coloration to it as it extracted. Upon inspecting it after the complete shot was pulled, I found that there was no crema at all on the espresso. The coloration was more like a pour over than the rich brown of a well pulled espresso shot. The taste of the drink itself was very dark, roasty, and bitter with a great deal of acidity and very little complexity. Not exactly what I had anticipated given the quick extraction of the shot.
I was very surprised at the poor quality of the espresso as any commercial grade machine should be easily able to pull at least decent espresso given that the beans are fresh, ground correctly, and appropriately prepared for extraction. Therefore, i assume that the espresso that I received was poorly pulled due to one of a few possible things going wrong in the process.
1. The beans could have been left in the hopper to long
2. The grind may have not been dialed appropriately
3. The coffee should have been measured out of the grinder to ensure even shots are being pulled
4. the puck prep could have used more attention. I noticed there was no attempt at distribution, even a wedge distributer could have likely helped out and would be easy to incorporate into the workflow. The tamping could also likely have used a bit more pressure judging purely by observation.
The only other gripe I really had was that the menu did not display the prices for each item. A customer should not be forced to ask about pricing as this often leads to embracement when the price is found to be to high.
All-in-all, I would recommend this establishment assuming they make a few tweaks to their workflow so as to pull consistent shots. Otherwise, it is a very cute little shop!

More people need to check this place out. This place is full of intentionality. In talking to the owner you learn about all the work that went into making this place happen.
We only had breves to go but they were good! We love the locally source baked goods. The environment felt good.
Andrew made us feel so welcome and Rachel was really kind to me even though I asked a ton of questions. We’ll be back.

If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, read, or just work..not only do they have a fantastic cafe / lounge type atmosphere, but the vibes I got from this place was great and the caramel latte I had was phenomenal; seriously the best I've ever had in all of my 34 years of existence.
