Cozy place with really nice people.

The espresso deserves 3 stars which is the only thing I had in both a Cortado and an Americano. Overly roasted beans give it a noticeable charcoal flavor, favored by a few die hards who reminisce the percolator, but definitely not my cup of... coffee.

Neighborhood coffee shop & the BEST pastries in Steamboat! Indoor & outdoor seating & takeaway. They also do catering & special orders. We love the espresso chocolate cake!

Cute place, great coffee but not the best experience. Employees seemed disgruntled at the line of customers coming in, got orders wrong, and were swearing under their breath..

I ordered a smoothie advertised as fruit blended with green tea. It was sickly sweet so I asked them what the ingredients were. It was a puree blend with added sugar- not fresh fruit. They tried to work with me to make a smoothie that didn't have added sugar but decided to just refund my money. While I was waiting for my friends to finish eating I heard the staff talking about me in the kitchen. Really rude, insensitive, immature staff. Also, my friend was really disappointed in their vegetarian options.

Super pleasant staff, friendly service. Food was fresh and tasted wonderful. Excited to try the coffee tomorrow!

We parked in front of mountain brew, walked in through the front door, and then had to open another closed door to get in. Could benefit from a sign or just from the inside door being open. The lady helping us was helpful, but as we were paying, the ipad register wasn't processing my card and the lady went to make our drinks. A stockier man came out from the kitchen, greeted another patron named Jake, and he said quite loudly 'step away from the counter so I can serve another guest'. I stated that our credit card hasn't processed, and he fiddled around with it, and then had a 2nd lady come help out. Ultimately, we felt like we were intruding on this business, and that this man had a real problem with us being there. We would not recommend this place to anyone who values the customer experience.

I used to go to Mountain Brew regularly, but the service really went downhill as they grew larger, so I didn't go there as frequently. I decided to try them again and arrived in the pouring rain. I waited and held the door for the owner who was running with someone's wedding cake getting ruined by the rain. Apparently they don't bake their own goods, as he was transporting the cake in a van from elsewhere. He then proceeded to leave the cake with two others, UNCOVERED AND EXPOSED TO PEOPLE SNEEZING AND DROPPING HAIRS ON THEM!! At least half of the 30 or so patrons were waiting for their drinks being made by ONE BARISTA on a very busy Saturday morning. There were approximately 15 cups waiting to be filled by the ONE, EXTREMELY OVERWORKED BARISTA. The male owner sat there with his thumb up his butt talking on the phone instead of helping his employee!!! I was astounded at his lack of knowledge and adherence to Health Department regulations with regard to the safe handling and storage of food being sold to the public!

Needless to say, I left and won't be back. I lived in Steamboat for 25 years and thankfully, for everyone's sake, there are MANY other excellent coffee shops in town! You'll be happy you avoided this one!

cas “Poptart” pls
