My Americano was tasty. Staff really friendly and genuine. I like the front area and sitting in the sun in the comfy lounge chairs.

Came in here to do some work before an appointment. Got an Americano and 2 macrons. The macrons must have been a week old they were so stale. Did get my money back, but they didn't remove the rest of the inedible macrons from the display. Sat back down to my Americano and it was also very poor, super bitter and sour, could only drink a quarter of it. Didn't try to get my money back again. I just left.

They did have many power outlets though.

Former employee chiming in with honest reviews per usual.

Little about me: was hired in as a disabled veteran protected status knowing well of my autism spectrum before hire and my communication and former military wounding I have been going through.

However I was recently fired for no particular described reason, never given a chance to speak with management: Ashley (more on her soon), Alex, and Skyler. Skyler did reach out via texting to let me know but without giving me an opportunity to know why, correct any apparent mistakes I made, or settle in to become a better barista in a presumptive safe environment for lgtbq+ and military veterans. Left my soul feeling extremely despaired especially all the work and heart I was attempting to put into this place! (Even started game nights on Tuesdays and was planning on helping with other events for promotion both in the autism and military functions).

That said the owners will show a kind face and kind heart but if someone trips up and falls the blame is not on the owners or the business but on the individual. Not long ago an older gentleman (and friend of mine as I found out) tripped and seriously injured his hip on some ice on the porch. Ashley's response when I brought this up was it was his fault and she showed 0 compassion or empathy for this man.

Calling in (instead of out) the toxicity that is in our business culture today and rising up as a voice against the oppression that is this culture we think so well serves us.

Skyler is over worked, over stressed, and unable to adequately handle the responsibility of leadership and therefore will enforce Ashley's firm hand instead of having his own voice and reasoning. One he resonates with as being too soft or shy.

Devils Cup coffee itself is good. Drinks good. Training adequate but neither enforced with a positive thread of education nor firmly supported by management to improve. Customer service and relations training is little to none and expected of you to be enslaved to the system that makes you a worker bee with no personality except that of a closed off get the job done and shut up mentality.

Where this didn't receive 1 star is because I believe in humanity, redemption and positive changes. Where it didn't is I saw no effort to correct, adapt, support or empower employees. That alone makes this business a trashy 2 star that will be spread as such regardless of the products greatness.

This world doesn't need better products. It needs better leaders that lead from their heart and not from wallet first. Yes this is a no reason needed to fire someone state but think about that for a moment when it comes to good people and/or people trying to transition out of a toxic world that naturally suppresses them or a war that significantly wounded them in.

Great space to work remote and the lattes are amazing too!

Had a GREAT hot latte and sugar cinnamon roll. Great atmosphere to sit down and just enjoy your coffee in the ceramics mug.
