Staying in and around Gunnison I'm always make it a point to eat at the W Cafe. It is always busy and always worth the wait. They have a great breakfast.

Outstanding mountain diner! My first visit, and my family loved it. It's got the locals feel. I consider myself a Colorado heuvos rancheros expert. I've tried probably over 100 different recipes. This place has a top 3 pork green chili in all my travels! No kidding, get the pgc if you are a connoisseur and you will be thrilled. Nice people. Friendly atmosphere.
Oh, and my daughter got the chicken fried chicken with eggs. I'm glad she didn't eat it all because I love it too. Just the right crispy and the chicken was not dry from the frying process. It was one of my favorites.
I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting great food without the fancy trappings.

Ordered pork chili and green sauce what I got was chopped up peppers chopped up tomatoes and little tiny specks of pork. I think pork should at least be 50% of the bowl. The waiter actually went to see if he'd accidentally given me the vegetarian chili. Did not report back as I walked out there were three management types over the cash register they didn't say anything not boo how was your dinner nothing.

The W used to be consistent but now it is rarely open and when it is you wouldn't know because everyone thinks it is always closed. The food is better than the other breakfast place imo, which isn't saying much at all. I unfortunately see this place closing soon, since they aren't interest in improving or serving the commuity like they use to. I wish they would do dinner and be more consistent. Gunnison needs some good food and this place isn't it. The best breakfast is in the summer and only on weekends from what I have experienced. It would be nice to have a fresh and organic place to eat. At least menu items that are organic and fresh would be nice. Maybe a daily special.

Wonderful little cafe with All-Day Breakfast. The W Cafe has a small town feel with friendly service and great food. We had the eggs benedict, biscuits’n gravy and the child’s Mickey Mouse pancake. All of it was delicious. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Gunnison.

Were seated very quickly. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was delicious.

Such a friendly cafe. The food was tremendous and the price was not. It was delicious. Everyone in their was so warm and welcoming and they removed their masks but stood farther away so I could read their lips. I had my Hearing dog with me and they didn't make us eat outside and didn't make it hard for us to be there. (Some places do) I would highly recommend eating here as we will definitely be returning.

The W Cafe is an amazing place that has always been consistent for the 8 years that I have been going there. There are many items on the menu that are delish, and I bounce between all of them quite often. The service is very friendly, prompt, and all servers are attentive no matter which one. Some of my favorites are the biscuits and gravy, and the breakfast burrito. The hash browns are always plentiful, as I like them with the side of white gravy! There's a lot of history with the W Cafe as they have been around for many years, and you can't go wrong in choosing this breakfast place as it is always amazing!

Great classic breakfast fare. Biscuits and gravy were fire. Omelet was done just right. Staff was nice. Service was quick. Heard a couple of college kids saying “Dude W Cafe is the best diner in town” on the way out. Would stop back.
