The Blue Mug @UNC

Not my favorite. It was awkwardly quiet in the store and no music and when I asked for a coffee, I was handed a cup with no explanation. Super weird. Was kind of uncomfortable. Nothing drastic but I probably won't be back. I felt very unwelcome.

My favorite coffee shop. Thought that it was part of a cult for a while but I don't think it is. At least I hope not I haven't done enough research.

Good coffee and nice place to do work and grab a bite to eat. Central location is a bonus.

Stopped here on a whim. I'm not a repeat customer, and as a result of today's visit, have no plans to be. I was here during lunch between 12 and 1. There was one couple ahead of me. No one came in after I did for at least 15ish minutes. I placed my first order, was told there were no bananas, moved on and placed my eventual order, and attempted to pay using a Visa Gift Card.

After a minute or two, the gentleman taking my order was unable to figure out if this was an acceptable payment. No biggie; I used a different card. For the record, there was only one person working today. I am not sure if that is the norm or not. The gentleman working was pleasant enough.

The pace at which he moved and worked was cautiously slow, almost unsure of himself. Regardless, my order was a 16 oz cappuccino, one shot of espresso, and almond milk. My order was taken at 12:18 and served to me at 12:45. My disappointment is simply a result of excruciatingly slow service.

With a limited lunchtime, I cannot in good conscience even consider coming back here in the future. I would like to add that I appreciated the $1 baked goods being discounted if they were older than a day. This is a good value for anyone interested.

Staff are always helpful and kind. A quiet spot for studying or meeting with friends.

Nothing bad at all, except that its too popular! Awesome drip coffee and espresso drinks, wonderful baristas who are dry friendly and helpful, and a great place to hang out!

Been a regular and as a student it's nice to have a comforting space but today was not it! After my noon class i went to grab my regular order a Hazelnut Macchiato with extra caramel. The store looked messy, the music was different and distracting and the person behind the bar looked like they didn't know what they were doing. Someone experienced should have been there to help this man because he was scrambling to get orders done.. I waited longer than usual and my drink wasn't made properly. What a mess!

I absolutely love the twisted turtle drink here! The atmosphere is very calm and friendly for studying. I wish they could get more staff, as they've recently had a shortage and their hours are suffering :(

I love this place. It has just the right touch of quirky to make it fun and unique. I love there blue couches. There coffee is good too and he staff are great. My favorite fun drink to get is their Royal Mug with half the syrup because I'm not a sweet freak!
