I have been living in Grand Junction approaching 2 years, and have been coming to Four Winds periodically throughout that time -- usually a few times a month, sometimes multiple times in a week depending on my schedule. This is a friendly and independent coffee and tea shop, with surprisingly good food, and I know that they put in a strong effort. I can't say I've had a bad experience, all in all; even at the height of the pandemic, they seem to be making every effort to serve their customers well. I will say that they are a little bit expensive, but as has already been noted by other commenters, so is Starbucks. Unfortunately, something seems to have gone amiss in the past few weeks at Four Winds: they seem to be perpetually overworked and/or understaffed. Moments ago I went in to order an iced caramel delight -- they were not busy at all, as I was only the sixth customer in the shop with five others already sitting down. However, it seems that one of the already-seated customers ordered something around eight separate specialty drinks to-go. So, because this one inconsiderate customer monopolized the lone barista working at the time, I had to wait 10 or 15 minutes for my one drink despite the fact that I was one of only six customers in the entire shop. While some of the blame should fall on this other customer, I wonder why the barista was working by herself or couldn't otherwise get backup; to her credit, she did apologize, but I feel that the situation shouldn't have manifested in the first place. I understand that Four Winds is a small, friendly, independent shop -- but if they want to be in the customer service business, they need to keep up, whether it's with one customer who orders a ton of drinks to go, or a sudden rush of multiple customers who come through the door. I enjoy supporting this local establishment in contrast to the megalithic corporations, but with their high costs, customers should not need to wait as long as they do. Unfortunately, this is not the first instance where I myself have had a protracted waiting time, nor is this the only customer review that Four Winds has received with regard to their customer service and wait times. Please hire the staff with the skill and speed necessary for sufficient customer service in the food and beverage industry. Aside from the prolonged wait times, I'm happy to have been a customer these past couple of years. Thanks in advance!

My favorite place in town! I come on my days off and read and study the word and love meeting up with friends here! Staff and owners are always coming up with new ideas to better the service, the cafe and the drinks! I love the $1 books and the custom table tops!

Great Christian owned coffee shop, library, and workspace. Tons of big meeting rooms for rent (nominal fee/donation). Friendly staff, good menu.

Great coffee shop and work space. They have big rooms you can use for meetings. Yummy coffee and treats. Plus tons of Christian books and support.

The chicken salad croissant was good, but messy. The place was busy with only one batista.

This was a very nice place. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is pleasant. There is a lot of space and outlets available near some tables. Meeting rooms are available, though a little pricey if the group isn't all buying something. They have $1 books for sale, games to play, and a giant message board for local information.

Wonderful place to meet at or just sit and study. Best Chai Tea in town. Their Mexican Mocha is great too. Typically a calm environment. Come here often to hang out and play the occasional board game. Of which they have a few available to choose from. Love it here!
