My experience at Mid Town Cafe was a huge disappointment. My friend and I waited 30 minutes for our food and when it finally came out, it was practically inedible. We had two bites of our meal, and when we asked for a refund, Leslie hesitated and was very upset with us. I do not recommend this place to anyone and hopefully they can improve upon the quality & their service.

This is an updated review. Although our previous experience was quite bad, we accepted the owners offer to return and give them another try. She bought my family's breakfast, that was a very appreciated gesture. The food was very good, but then again it usually is good! So based on this experience I am taking back my low rating and giving a full 5 stars. As a local customer I do appreciate good service and being shown appreciation as a paying customer. Thank you for your effort to correct our bad experience. We will return!

Good spot for quick and tasty lunch

Mid Town Cafe is probably the best place in Granby to grab a healthy early morning breakfast. Spent the Labor Day weekend in Granby on a fishing trip. Saturday morning breakfast at Mid Town Cafe I tried their Blueberry Wheat pancakes. They were fluffy and substantial, served with real maple syrup if you're willing to pay a bit extra. Sunday morning was Biscuits and Gravy with a side of sausage, all homemade except the sausage patties which tasted like turkey sausage instead of pork. Monday morning breakfast was just simple black coffee and a blueberry lemon scone, but I must say it was the best homemade scone I've ever had. Service is order at the counter and pick it up yourself. I understand that it's probably a small family owned business, maybe in a few years they can afford a waitress to bring in more customers. The atmosphere and decor is a bit yuppie and book storish but still inviting.

Delicious food and even better coffee! Large menu with plenty of options for everyone. Family friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service! Food and coffee we're prepared with care and they have a small library with used books for purchase as well! It was a great experience and a perfect way to pass the time!

It's a unique environment... Coffee shop setting with breakfast menu with pastries, coffee and espresso.

Large portions, love the dining room set up. The books are a great touch. Family friendly indeed! Food was good. My kid's devoured the cookies.

Not the fault of the people working, just fairly short staffed. Only one person cooking so our order was cold. With proper staffing, it would be a nice place. Covid rules hit the mountain towns much harder than most places.

I was traveling through town and decided to stop for breakfast. The woman who took my order didn't seem very enthusiastic about taking my order. My french toast was barely edible and very wet for some reason, almost like it was just dipped in eggs and put on the plate. The croissant I ordered looked good but was not what I ordered. I ordered just cheese and bacon. It came out as bacon, egg, and cheese. At no point while ordering did the word egg come out of my mouth so I am not quite sure how it made it onto my croissant. Maybe if the staff member taking my order had an ounce of pride in her work my experience would have been different. I paid $23 for two bites of soggy french toast. I was too hungry and irritable to be able to not cause a scene if I went to complain so I just left quietly and went to McDonalds.

Surprising amount of vegetarian items! The food was terrific but it's a bit confusing when you walk in, it's also a bit pricey for breakfast. Order at the counter and the remote they give you has a button that you can press to turn off the beeping. Please use that. Seat yourseld, clean your plate off beside the soda fountain. I went three or four times and only one of the times was I happy with the service behind the counter. Communication is definitely lacking but the food was terrific. The coffee is spot on, highland pudding was a hit and the skillets are great too.
