This is probably the coffee shop that I prefer the most on campus. They have really good specialty drink options and the service is pretty quick when they're not too terribly busy. I'd agree with some of the other reviews that it's not the cleanest place but I'll probably keep coming here when I'm in the area of the library.
It's hard to write a two star review for this place, because I'm sure it was just an off day. I ordered the drip coffee and it tasted and smelled spoiled. I should have said something but I had to get to class. Now I don't want to ever order coffee from here again.
The drinks are 25% foam at the top, so when you pay for a medium you’re really getting a small in terms of volume. Also, the drinks are waaaaay too sweet. I think they need to work with their baristas on ratios and making the drink right even if there’s a rush. Drinks are honesty overpriced for what you’re getting.
Scam. They literally scammed me and I can't believe it.
I've been ordering larges for the last few times I went in and they have each time filled my order as a small (still paid for a large). I asked and their only explanation is that they are training new workers.
Okay, I get that, but don't let your trainees scam me out of an overpriced large, replacing it with a very overpriced small. Give me my overpriced large.
I was excited to try a new coffee shop. Not impressed. I wanted to potentially get a snack with my coffee and asked the cashier what flavors of cupcakes they had. The cashier responded that she didn't know and walked away. I thought perhaps she was looking or asking a fellow co-worker. She brought the tray of cupcakes from the window display to the counter, set them in front of me and said "these flavors". As I do not work at the coffee shop or can guess cupcake flavors by visual inspection I passed on the cupcake. The coffee I ordered tasted like warm milk. I am not certain it even contained espresso, and most certainly not the flavoring I requested. Not only was the service terrible, the coffee was just bad. I would recommended taking a trip to the Dazbog across the street from campus.
Good food, drink and service, but it's dirty most of the time. Trash on the floors, unwashed tables, and so much debris on the window sills behind the long counter, it's amazing. By the way--I get there first thing in the morning, when it should be clean. I would contact the manager, but I don't see contact information on their page on the library website. It's a food service establishment, so cleanliness matters.
I ordered a hot chai because it is my favorite drink. Once I got my drink I knew something was off the drink was cold but in a hot drink cup. I asked if i could get it heated up and instead she made a new one. I have barista experience and instead of heating the drink up to 120. It was remade and heated up well above 120 to the point the chai started to evaporate and there was more foam then drink. So i paid $5 for foam.
I have spent many a day in the Morgan's grind cafe on campus. But tonight I experience one of the worst cases of customer service I have ever had. I have spent a majority of my dead week sick to my stomach, and several foods can agitate the problem, which led to my fasting to give it a break. However, in a desperate state of starvation, purchased a burrito. I placed it in the microwave for about a minute and it exploded. I cleaned up the mess, and took the exploded burrito to the counter to share my predicament. The assistant manager, Katie, who sold me the burrito told me that it still looked good. It had, however touched the dirty microwave rotating dish. When I shared that she just said, I'm sorry that sucks, and turned to work on something else. My obvious dismissal nearly brought me to tears. I have worked in several food establishments, and if one of my customers had that happen I was told to give them a new food item. It was an obvious violation of code, and I was smart enough to throw it away. I felt as though the my 4 dollar burrito was stolen from me by a microwave. It was so embarrassing.
By far the best coffee on campus. You may prefer a different coffee shop if you're not a student, but for CSU students that don't want to leave campus, this is as good as it gets.

AWFUL coffee, although it’s the best of the (bad-tasting) coffee shops on campus. The phrase “this tastes like piss” is accurate of this coffee
