Great place to go to meet and talk with a friend or two, seating inside and outside near Lee Martinez Park. Excellent coffee as a reward after a good walk along the Poudre River. Also offers free meeting spaces if you call ahead to book.

The coffee is a bit expensive but no more than Starbucks and with way better flavor and customer service. It's a great place to take a quick break or get some work done.

When we first stumbled upon Dazbog we were in love, huge fan of their blended, specialty drinks. My husband & I went at least once a week, often more, spending way more money than I care to say. One afternoon I walked in, found a seat and waited for my husband to join me. In less than 5 minutes I was approached by the owner, K, and asked very rudely what I was doing, if I planned to order anything. I guess he did not recognize me although we have chatted with him multiple times while on our regular visits. It was a little intimidating and hurtful to have to explain my presence in a coffee shop that I had highly recommended to others and often frequented.
I always order my frozen coffee sugar free & skinny. One afternoon I waited in a rather long line to order my regular,SF/SK/Almond Joy. I realized immediately that it was not what I ordered. Tasted like the Chai tea the woman in front of me had ordered. I took one more sip to be sure and felt my cheeks begin to burn, I do not drink/eat sugar and this drink certainly had plenty. I felt horrible but this drink is expensive (I even called my husband for advice) so I went back and politely mentioned that I had received the wrong drink. Once again the owner, K, was at the register. As I explained he looked at me with disgust, I told him it tasted like Chai and he said that was impossible (?). He then *grabbed* my drink and threw it away, and went on to totally disregard me. I stood off to the side while he took multiple orders, after an awkward 10 min he had the trainee make my drink and kept making comments about how this is what had been done before and loudly explaining that it had no Chai. I felt horrible and embarrassed by Their Mistake!! I hadn't asked for my money back, or acted put out, I tried to be very friendly, I just wanted my drink. That is the last time I will go into any of the Northern CO franchises. K owns all of them and he is very pompous, I will not support his endeavors.
Side Note: I had begun to realize that I no longer recognized any of the baristas, it seems that he can't keep anyone in there for long, Also, I agree, not kid friendly. Too bad, a local franchise and great coffee but good customer service is very important as well

This particular Dazbog made the best tasting coffee I found in Fort Collins. Pretty good pastries and great staff. Nice place to hang out and get some work done.

I absolutely love the place. Friendly Staff and they have several delicious drinks. I'll be coming to Ft. Collins soon. I'll make my traditional stop here to get my coffee.

I think they need to train the baristas here, or just learn to use the proper amount of coffee when they make it.

We went in early December 2014 and tried the peruvian and the french roast drip coffees.. Both were awfully made, very watery and weak, no body... just bad and waste of $2 per cup.

In contrast, the cups of Dazbog I've made at home (using 2 tbsp coffee per 6oz water per instructions on the bag) have been great. Both bags I've tried were whole bean, one purchased from this coffee shop and one from a large supermarket nearby - so I know it's not the coffee that's bad, just the preparation.

Hopefully some day they'll read the package and learn to make a proper cup.

The counter people were nice, so at least there's that.

We were interested in having meetings at a coffee shop. We contacted many shops and they all responded with the exception of Dazbog who were too rude to even reply. I stepped in anyway, wow! The drinks are made from powder, the prices are way high and the music is higher. No wonder the place is empty.

I asked the waitress, a dirty looking girl with bobbed black hair and ugly tatoos all down her arm about the meetings. She said Kay would need to deal with my request and that she would give him the message. Well, that was Wednesday afternoon, it is now Friday. The e-mail was Monday. They just don't care. (BTW, that waitress looked so dirty and was not wearing any identification, not even an apron, tat I really did not beieve that she worked there till she took my order.)

The following is the e-mail that we sent to them and they did not even have the courtesy to respond to, the first part is the response that we received from one of the other shops and included in our message to Dazbog:

=============
(the part shown with >> is the response from one of the other coffee shops, typical, as it happens, that we included in our message to Dazbog)

>> I thank you for your interest in meeting at our coffee shop.

>>Sadly, for you, good for us, we are way too busy to be able to accommodate your group. As you
>>know, if you have been in recently, we rarely have even one completely unoccupied table
>>between 8 and 11pm.

>>I would suggest that you contact Dazbog. They have a facility that is always empty. Many of
>>their baristas are my customers and they tell me that they would be happy to have your, or for
>>that matter, any, business.

>>So, I thank you for you interest and wish you all the best.

>>I hope it works out with Dazbog since I wish them all the best too.

- my additional message to Dazbog

Sirs (at Dazbog)

We are starting a chapter of The Philospohers Cafe here in Fort Collins and would like to have a reliable, pleasant location at which to meet.

As you see from the above, your competitor graciously suggested that we try you.

A typical meeting would be 6-10 people and we would be happy to guarantee that each would purchase at least one item. We are happy to guarantee a minimum of $25 will be spent at each meeting by our members.

We do not need a private space, in fact the nature of the organization is such that we prefer to be in full view, to attract new members.

All we would need is a guaranteed, reserved table that would seat the numbers that I describe above.

We intend to meet on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30.

All members will be adults, there will be no children.

I look forward to your response and will check out the facility immediately if you tell me that you can accommodate us.

Yours

Amanda (I hide it here)

well, we understand now, why they are empty and eveyone else is full, don't we!

very poor coffee

no real cups - only disposable - and they are not recyclable;

stale bagel;

music way to loud;

unreliable internet;

will never return and hope I can save you the trip;

-------
PS - on the bagel - they claim it is a Gibbs. I was in Gibbs getting a coffee and bagel and mentioned to them my experience. The manager said "we do supply them bagels, but only once a week so they get stale. So, we send the ones that we can't sell here. I did not realize that they actually told people they are ours. We probably should stop supplying them. I hear so much bad about those owners that I don;t want my name associated with them."

Good coffee... Awesome staff!!! *HORRIBLE internet speeds! (Only ~800kbps?? Really???) Don't waste your time going here if you need to do anything online.

Would have given 5 stars if the internet was good for anything other than checking email (and even that is painfully slow).

Pretty facility. Nice back patio. Turn the music down, and get the Wi-Fi working, then it'll be a nice place. I asked about the music. He said it was already down all the way, so he changed the starting to jazz. Still loud.
