Mr. Burro Cafe

Stopped at Mr Burro Cafe because our favorite Fairplay coffee shop was closed, and I think I have a new favorite! The staff here are the BEST, so friendly, and make great drinks. I ordered a half decaf/half caf and a non-dairy iced coffee, and they didn't blink an eye. While I was waiting they served someone a peppermint hot chocolate and the presentation was beautiful. When I got my drinks, they even made sure that I tasted them to make sure the ratios were good. Top notch.

Cute indoors. Cute patio between there and Casa Sanchez. It would be a great place to stop and sip a drink.

We had coffee, smoothies, and everything was great. I even shared a smoothie with my 3 kids and they brought it in 2 cups, it was extra! Staff are very friendly

Most amazing customer service I’ve ever witnessed/experienced! The woman working was so hospitable and genuinely cared about providing exceptional service to each customer. She ensured we were happy with our orders before we left. There were 4 other customers being served food & drinks before us and our wait was longer than anticipated, but it was worth the wait for the quality of service and our drinks (flavored latte & frappe) turned out great!

Cuteness overload! Adorable little place in FairPlay. Great service and good portions. Their stovetop isn’t working (as of Feb 2023) so don’t expect the normal breakfast affair but they had warmed beignets (that were delicious!!) and toasted bagels, etc.

Drinks were huge and the spicy chai was yummy!!!!

This place is amazing! We stopped for a late lunch after a half day of skiing. The portions are very generous, and I had the best hot chocolate of my life. Even the ham bagel was griddled and served warm.

Adorable coffee shop in Fairplay! We made a quick espresso and drink stop here after a full day skiing. Great prices, good coffee and super cozy atmosphere!

This place is so amazing! The people who work there are exceptionally nice and the food is so yummy and fresh. The restaurant is super clean and so pleasant to be in! This is how all restaurants should be. Portions are also great!

Totally recommend if you’re looking for an amazing lunch spot.

Husband and I just stopped here on our way through and so glad that we did. He had the turkey sandwich which was memorably good and I had the avocado toast, also delicious. Place is cute and all of this is reason to return, but the most memorable aspect of our visit was the friendly and attentive service by the owner. I would make a point of returning next time we are in the area.

I never NEVER give 5 stars. This is the lone exception. We've eaten here once and will not likely eat here again. Not for a failure of this place but because it's about 900 miles away from us! All of the accolades about it are likely justified judging from our lone experience here.

The lunch sandwiches and wraps were wonderful and BIG. Service was quick and authentic (I positively hate fake enthusiasm and deference to customers). We had no problem with the food, and we usually can find something no matter where we go.

Some accident happened in the kitchen, I think, and this left 1 person to host, wait, cook, and bus a busy lunch hour. Sure, some things got missed, delayed, etc. But, this woman was, and I can't stress this enough, a force. That must have been an owner because nobody works that hard with such a positive attitude if they don't own the place.

I don't know if this place will survive as a restaurant... the odds are against ANY place much less one providing such good food, unique choices for the area and service as this one. BUT, I will bet on that woman. No matter what she does.

I'm against tipping in general and am "one of those" that tips based on service and not on the cost of the meal. If you're ready this, THAT is why I tipped you (YOU) so much and encouraged you as we left. Your efforts, in the face of a busy lunch crowd, problems in the kitchen/staff, etc and the way you handled it with professionalism is the exact purchase of tipping. If you ever find yourself needing help, In whatever you do in life, let me know. I'll invest in you. I wish I had 10 of you in my businesses.

Had a English muffin with egg and bacon with home fries. It was the best breakfast I've had. Service was excellent. Checked up on me making sure everything was good. I would highly recommend this place. I would definitely go back again.
