Fantastically friendly customer service off the beaten path of downtown Estes. I had a white chocolate peppermint mocha and it was delicious. My hubs had just a black coffee and it tasted burnt. We tend to judge our return to a coffee shop by its black coffee.

Regardless of our experience with the black coffee, the vibe is Colorado, friendly and clean. There’s a little shop up front, and 8 tables in the back. There’s also a gorgeous outside seating area with a pond! The decor inside is rustic and clean!

If you’re walking from downtown, the walk is easy, just a slight incline, but the side walk ends. We would take our car, if we returned!

A coffee shop located in a beautiful spot. We visited this coffee shop as I was so intrigued by its location and it was spot on. Upon arrival we ordered a mocha and a latte. To our surprise there was going to be live music! What a treat! The coffee was very good. We ordered an additional mocha and a virgin lavender refresher to go. We will be returning to this wonderful spot without a doubt.

Update: 2022

Been coming here for years. The outside has improved over the years, but the quality in food and beverages has declined slightly. From things like homemade salsa to hot sauce packets for $.50. Good news they are decent. From fill your own coffee to long waits where they forget the coffee if you order gourmet drinks or food (in their defense, they were busy and we had a large order). And you used to get one drip coffee refill on honor code, but not anymore. Wait in line and pay again. A bagel with cream cheese simply is a toasted bagel in a to go bag with a cream cheese pack, no knife. All that said, it is still great on a bad day!!!

It doesn't get any better than this place! We drove an extra 4 hours out of our way just to go here. When we visit Estes Park we go to coffee on the Rocks every single day. just staff and owner are super friendly. The place is great for families and is very kid friendly. The food is good, the coffee is great and I can't wait to go back!

I absolutely love the scenery. My family loved feeding the Mallards. I enjoyed it very much. Super friendly staff always ready to help. Coffee was perfect.

One of the best coffee shops I have ever been into! The views, the environment, the great food and of course great coffee! Stopped here after driving down from the Rockies. If you are near Estes Park, please do not miss this experience!

Very delicious burrito(sausage) and rose lavender latte (specialty).

All the employees were so nice and the atmosphere of this shop is definitely energetic and positive.

Come visit and relax here when you enter or leave from the RMNP.

There are dried corns inside the cafe and you can bring them and feed ducks (I believe. If wrong, please forgive me! Haha.) You will get popular from them.

Kids-friendly, pets-friendly! Parking lot is also spacious.

Such a wonderful little hot spot! We are passing through on a road trip and are so glad we stopped. Grabbed the buzzing bee and a cold brew coffee with a cream cheese bagel and sausage breakfast burrito. Ate them before we had a chance to snap a pic! So yummy. Definitely worth the visit. Friendly staff, mountain vibes, and plenty of seating options around the lake and on the deck.

Best coffee house ever! On a private pond. Ducks, deer and elk ventured into patio area. In addition to great coffee our tour guide from RMNPPhotgrapher suggested the breakfast sandwiches. Delicious! They also have a selection of sweets!

They forgot our food on the same order as our lattes. Lattes were fine, good variety of flavors. Once I asked about our avocado toast order they apologized and got started. Unfortunately the avocado was cold and the toast was just lightly browned bread (not toasted at all), with no flavor or seasoning. Also, don’t go here on the weekends unless you manage to squeeze in before 8am.

Coffee was good. Burrito was really amazing. Not salty and very big! Drip coffee was great strong I love it. Cafe latte was not that strong but still was good! Bagel was good too. Ducks are so cute and I saw one got injured 🤕 I gave more corns for it. Great atmosphere and due to COVID 19. People were eating at somewhere. I ate it inside of my car! 🚗 thanks for great service and nice scenery🤤 Hot chocolate definitely try it!! Highly recommended.( **burrito 🌯 too)
