Café 163

Annie, Erin and the team were great. The food was delicious we order 4 dishes the chilaquiles, corn beef hash, rancheros, and pancakes all a fabulous choices. Best restaurant in Edwards Co.

Cafe 163 is the locals best kept secret! The food & staff are always amazing & I have never been disappointed. I take friends & family here all the time to eat, & everyone has nothing but great things to say when we leave! Every town should have a Cafe 163, we are pretty lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in the Vail Valley!

Unfortunately, this was not an ideal experience and we will not be dining here in the future. Our server did not write down our orders, which would be fine, however there were mistakes. These mistakes caused half of our parties order to come out first. Therefore, the dish that was correct was cold by the time it was eaten, as we actually wanted to eat at the same time. Also, there was cheese ALL OVER a dish that didn’t have cheese listed on the menu. We are both lactose intolerant so you can imagine the disappointment. We notified the server of all of the above inconveniences. He half heartedly apologized but provided no discount or other form of rectifying the situation. Paying over $40 for a meal that was incorrect, inedible, and cold is very discouraging. Do not recommend this establishment to anyone looking to be treated properly by staff or served edible and warm
food as ordered. Very disappointed locals
Additionally, after paying, the assumed manager came up to “apologize”. She initially stated she would’ve discounted had she known before we paid. I informed her that I did let our server know before the bill was even given to us, stating that their staffs lack of communication should not cost me. She then got aggressive and stormed off while continuing to speak across the restaurant passive aggressively to me. This was embarrassing and awful business practice. In regards to us wanting to eat hot food at the same time she said “so this impacted our lives so greatly”
Unprofessional, disrespectful, and beyond disappointing!
In response to the reply below. You did not offer to cover our breakfast. You stated that you would’ve covered it had you known before we paid. Which you would have, had your employee communicated with you. Are you suggesting we head back your way for a refund? We are still in Edwards and only live right down the road in Avon.

Café 163 is a very relaxed spot to have a nice breakfast.
I discovered it on a Sunday morning with a wonderful cheery staff, especially Abby!
The vibe is really great and the food and the presentation is wonderful.

The food was fresh tasted delicious and I couldn’t of been happier, I highly recommend you all stop by and enjoy a wonderful experience!

avoid this place... terrible food. A shoe from a dumpster I am sure would be more satisfying. That being said, the staff was wonderful and very kind.

Great little diner for good breakfast, yummy lunchs with a local fun friendly vibe. Food is always on point amd servers are always friendly.

I came here on the excellent advice of a local and had huevos rancheros. The layered textures of beans and fried tortilla and eggs and pork chili (that's a lot of textures!) blended perfectly, and each layer added a flavor note to the mix.

Food was good but took quite awhile to make it to the table. No problem for us bc we had a friend we were visiting with and they never bothered us about getting clear of their table though there was a steady flow of guests. There was never a line waiting. The order was not perfect when received, but was quickly remedied. Our friend told us the Cafe mocha was the worst he had ever had. We wanted him to get it changed, but he did not want to trouble them.
Staff was very friendly. They also did not mind when we vacated the indoor table to use a umbrellaed table outdoors to continue our conversation.
I would return again. It was a pleasant brunch.
