Ptarmigan Roost at Loveland

Was a great place to throw a BBQ party.

Small and crowded mountain top cabin. Servers canned and bottled drinks including some alcohol like beer and hard ciders. Some food is served but I've never ordered any. They also sell various snacks.

The views from the patio are great. Next door to the cabin is a heated bathroom which is nice.

This place is great - hot food, beer and wine, and a warm fire! It's the only warming hut at Loveland with food, and the pork green chili is fantastic (and spicy). They even have live music on the deck later in the season when the weather is good.

Great place to warm up after getting to the top of the lift. Had some hot cider and watched the snow fall on the mountains. I always make my last run on this lift so that I can stop and have something hot to drink before my last run of the day.

So glad this place is here! Sometimes you just need to warm up when you’re so close to the top of the continental divide. I love that you can pop your gloves into a few clothespins and warm them up while you’re grabbing a hot cocoa (or something stronger).

Loveland is one of my favorites to ski

FINALLY Loveland Ski Area has restrooms at the top of the mountain! The cute canteen/snack shop isn't bad either. Too windy most of the time to sit out on the deck.

Late season runs and you can still always count on the Ptarmigan Roost to have a cold bevvie waiting for da boys. Cheers to local hills!

Good pitstop location at the top of Ptarmigan lift with beautiful views of the mountain. Limited selection of food and drinks there, but at least there are restrooms for your convenience.

Best views of the continental divide... Great place to warm up.. They serve drinks and basic hot foods.... Plus a restroom at 12000 feet!!
