My local resident bar, the staff is always very nice and helpful, and it is a fun intimate atmosphere.

I always have a great experience here, it has become my new "go-to" spot for a happy hour martini and a bite to eat. Haley always takes great care of me and my friends/family I bring in. Sarah and Evan, two of the owners, never fail to check in on me and ensure I'm enjoying my drinks and food. Lately the kitchen has been switching things up and serving up some amazing specials. Last week I indulged in the jalapeño poppers served with a strawberry jam that was TO DIE FOR. Love this place, and will remain a loyal regular. Definitely give it a go!!!!

10 out of 5! This place was great for my small family of three. Miss Sarah was our waiter and she was fantastic, on the ball with food and drinks. our little one ate most of her cheese burger huge yay for us and got her food first and with enough time to cool off and be cut before our food came. I had a cup of tomato bisque that was great and my husband enjoyed his French dip with fries. Our food came out hot and was delicious. Not only will we be coming back, but I would recommend it. The price is worth it.

*UPDATE: Unfortunately I have to update my review. I am not sure what has happened here since summer time but the food and quality has absolutely gone down the drain. Their food is something like a microwaved snack bar now. They used to have such amazing food. Hopefully they make the right changes for fall. Still a wonderful place for drinks and atmosphere. But the food options are a joke at the moment.*
Always incredible service and they continuously show that they really care about their customers!! The food is so amazing and love the vibe/atmosphere both inside and outside. Can’t recommend The Local enough!

SMALL AND LOCAL OWNED. Owner works at the bar is great and super friendly. This restaurant is one you CANT miss out on. You NEED to try the wings. Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wild Wings do not even compare. With their crisp outer shell and soft inside, you can take all the meat off the bone in one bite but still end in a crunch. Looking for a quick drink? They also have a great bar selection and would be a great place for date night or an evening with some coworkers. Must try this place!

Great environment, minimal food options, staff was preoccupied with a group at the bar so we didn't get a greeting at all.
Plan to try again and will update once we get the full experience.

The Local is by far the best perk of living at Tava Waters. Since Sarah and Evan have taken over things have been completely revamped, reimagined, and just overall better. The food is delicious and the menu is constantly changing through fun surprises, specials, and promotions. In particular, the queso for the pretzel bites has really hit its stride. Haley is the best server on staff and is extra wonderful due to her experience as a bartender. Happy hour throughout the summer is my favorite part of the day because of the efforts of these three. I would highly recommend the Love Potion #9 martini and any snack on the menu. Even if you're not a Tava resident you can enjoy the perks of drinks over the lake so everyone wins. Stop by the next chance you can!

Well, everything was going fine until our appetizer appeared with what seemed to be blood smeared inside of the bowl. After asking our server about it, the bowl was hastily taken to the kitchen and the staff was sent into a panic. Our server then approached us and acknowledged that the chef had “cut her finger” while making the dish. He also advised us to wash our hands out of genuine concern. He then left and reappeared with a female manager who then changed the story and claimed that the substance inside the bowl was strawberry purée. When I asked her why the server told me otherwise (after he conferred with the kitchen staff) they exchanged awkward glances and she resumed her “strawberry” defense. The servers response was that he “believed in full transparency” and rightfully so considering the severity of the situation! Now, we all have to go and be tested for fear of having contracted a blood borne disease. The apparent dishonesty from the manager is the most troubling part of this ordeal. Lying about exposing a customer to a potentially infectious body fluid is a heinous decision that could carry horrid legal implications.

Food was picked up at the time I was told to be there. The fries were cold. Both burgers weren't 100% how they were ordered. And we're not cooked to temp requested. And the "waffle fries" are cold tiny chunks. I understand food places make mistakes. They were not busy at 6pm on a tuesday. But when it cost this much I'd at least like what I ordered how I ordered it, and warm. I live at TAVA and this was my first time trying the local. I don't think I will be back for the food. This place was horrible experience and kinda a waste of money and time.
