Fantastic coffee, wonderful atmosphere, and kind and attentive staff

Excellent coffee and tea! The baristas are friendly, the internet is fast, and the place has a great vibe. They have a nice selection of baked goods if you get there before they sell out!

Cute spot attached to Townie books with more outdoor seating than indoor. Local roasts available for drip coffee and lots of tea options. Quick bites available.

I stopped in once and had the Americano. It was great coffee, but the service seemed to be lacking a bit. I’m not sure if I walked in at a bad time or not, though. Nonetheless, I loved the location and the fact it was connected to a book store. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you need a pick-me-up and some WiFi.

Rumors is a cute little coffee shop located immediately on Elk Ave. The coffee shop also has an open floor-plan that allows you to walk right into their attached Townie Book Store, and if you need overflow seating, you can drink your coffee or tea in the bookstore as well. I usually am not one to stay in the coffeehouse as I will pick up my coffee and walk right back to my office to work for the day. My favorites here are pretty standard and predictable: Americano or dark roast drip coffee. During my "I-forgot-to-grocery-shop-and-need-my-caffeine-fix-asap" days I will usually rush in and use their self-serve station. I also love that you can get a re-fill for a dollar. Even though there is not technically a person helping you, if you're feeling in the generous spirit, I would recommend leaving that extra 50 cents or an extra dollar in the bin. The locals work hard and it's good karma. Also, bring your own mug, if you remember, to help cut down on waste, or pick up a cute re-usable one at their place. As I'm writing this review, we are entering full off-season mode here in Crested Butte, so maybe I will finally grab a cup of coffee and actually sit still and relax in the coffee shop instead of rushing out. Maybe I will see you there.

Beyond drinks and treats, there is local art on the walls - wahoo!
Great outdoor patio & be sure to explore Townie Books next store... one of my favorite resources for inspiration and insightful conversations.

Great little coffee shop with lots of yummy drinks available. The hot apple cider is incredibly soothing especially after a long day of skiing. I also love that they offer 5 different types of chai as well as a huge selection of tea. They also have some pastries (both savory and sweet); however, the drinks are what makes this place great.

A coffee house and book store with reading corners and tables for the best coffee and pastries in town.
Internet access, outdoor picnic tables and a huge book selection with a lot more than just local titles. Rumors is the meeting place for locals. As tourists, we fell right into the friendly spaces. A great service for all.

Nice relaxing atmosphere after our hike and drive through Keebler's Pass. The drinks were made well and the barista was friendly.
