Unravel Coffee Breckenridge

Tasty in-house roasted coffee with a very cool ambience. Highly recommend for professionals looking for a place to work while enjoying some caffeinated beverages!

I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best coffee shop in not only Breckenridge, but possibly the entire region, from Aspen and Vail to Idaho Springs. It’s a proper third wave shop for people who understand what quality roasting means. So happy to have found it!

Great atmosphere but not managed very well, baristas seam confused not sure what they are doing. There were no customers, stood in line to order waited 10 minutes (no line), ordered a drip coffee, after waiting another 10 minutes they realized they needed to brew coffee, after watching them fumble around and have quite a few conversations with passersby on how their night went. I decided to leave after 25min with no coffee. Noone managing.

Overpriced, some equipment was broken every time I visited, slow service

Latte was just ok, place is over rated in my opinion. Cute interior but due to covid restrictions you can't sit inside. Latte was sub par, milk was flat had zero foam and for house made vanilla it was not that great.

The coffee was great, I got the Haus Breakfast, It was excellent and filling. My wife got the French Toast and she loved it.

You don't want to get a to-go beverage here. They serve it in a glass jar with a screw-on lid. Environmentally irresponsible and consumer unfriendly. When someone orders a to-go beverage, they want to enjoy it while they are walking or driving. Instead of having a convenient lid that you can sip from, you have to unscrew the top, take a drink, and screw the lid back on. Instead of a bio-degradable paper cup, there is now a glass jar and metal lid in a landfill.

There’s all the potential without the execution. We ordered cortados and a breakfast sandwich. The coffees were forgotten and after we went and asked they didn’t even acknowledge that they had made a mistake. Just said “ok they’ll be right up.” Along with the forgotten sandwich. The cortado finally came out and it was awful. No attempt at correct milk steaming or care, just dumped in the cup. It was the worst looking cup of coffee I’ve ever ordered. Taste was mediocre as well. I had high hopes for Unravel because they have the potential with the beans but was severely let down.

There is no indoor seating if you get a coffee or a pastry, you have to go outside. You can only sit here if you aren't drinking or eating which is deceiving. (Or if you know the barista you're allowed to sit inside and drink your coffee with your laptop, but if you don't know them, they tell you you can't sit inside before you even get your coffee)
