Verve Coffee Roasters

This review is a bit specific so please take into consideration. Service at the register was great, cashier was friendly and nice which is a good start. Unfortunately the barista who made the drink was another story, possibly the owner or a manager not sure, crew cut with tattoos less than pleasant. Issue was I ordered matcha lattes multiple times, all were terrible, watery no matcha flavor and I was up charged for complaining to add another shot. Keep in mind they're already charging $5-6 for a small latte so when a customer complains it's watered down the appropriate response is to simply say let me remake it and make it right, not tell the customer Im charging you to add a shot. If the prodict is the issue then use a better product or use more product to improve the taste. I've had Matcha teas at dozens of places I simply know what it should taste like. The second issue is the pastries. I get it they don't make it in house they order and get a decent product from a local bakery but it's cold. The only thing worst than no croissant is a cold croissant. If I had known ahead of time I could have bought them a toaster oven on my way in at Target and that puppy will run all day long heating up pastries just fine, don't need a commercial oven for that. Telling a customer we don't heat up pastries is unacceptable for an upscale coffeeshop. Fix it! I'll edit my review down the road

Of course the coffee here is amazing, but this specific location has such good vibes! Shout out to Townsend and Malorie for making all the customers feel at home. I waited with the sign with number of order for 40 minutes for avo toast and sandwich! They said the order never been in their system afterwards. Terrible service.

Best matcha in town. 4 stars for lack of parking.

I absolutely love it here. I live in downtown and there’s a Verve location near me but I specifically go to this location. I love the atmosphere and the outside seating. Due to covid, it’s hard to find a coffee shop with adequate outdoor seating so I don’t mind the drive. Coffee and pastries are so good! I always get an oat milk latte and it never disappoints.

Chill vibe... Nice place to spend some time drinking coffee. Like it. Always line to order. 4 stars because I couldn’t sit outside in the garden... Maybe next time :)

Environment is really cool but they’re literally ALWAYS out of everything. So annoying. Don’t go here if you’re hungry or craving anything specific. Also the pastries are dry and cold… and they don’t warm them up. If it wasn’t a cool place to work remote I would not come here

Love this place and great products but kind of snotty service and VERY high prices, even by LA standards, keep it from a five. Pastries are quite tasty and nice selection of tea. Love outdoor seating, though seems like people may camp out for hours. Great spot for a quick meeting, as long as you’re flexible on sitting wherever it might be available. Definitely gets busier as the day goes along.
