Wonderful coffee. I've been going to Pacific Bay Coffee for years and they always have quality coffee that is medium roasted so you can taste the origins of the coffee and not "burnt" flavor like other big-name coffee shops. They are always innovating and teaching me more about coffee and how to brew coffee in different ways. Pacific Bay has won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for their roasting of various beans at the Compak Golden Been (Northern America) roasters competition - So you've got to give them a try!

Came looking for a decent coffee shop in Walnut Creek with chai and was glad to find this place. I was so happy to see that they use David Rio chai (my favorite!) and it was an absolutely delicious iced chai. Not sweet, nicely spiced - perfect! It is hard to find a decent chai, so as a non-coffee drinker, I am often stuck with Starbucks if I really want chai (whose chai is way too sweet and syrupy tasting), thus I so appreciate finding a place like Pacific Bay.
Drinks came up fast and overall very efficient service.

Decent coffee from house roasted beans and nice space, staff/owners could be a lot more friendly. Although They seem friendlier to people of certain demographics (like the white and snootier/pretentious Walnut Creek $$ people). Couldn’t even ask for the bathroom key without getting treated suspiciously

Cafe au lait was probably one of the most mediocre ones I have had in years. But what will stop me from ever going there again is the attitude of the staff/owners. I asked for a glass of water and he showed so much disgust. I was there for only an hour. Any other coffee shop will have no problem giving you a glass of water after you have spent ~$10 on coffee and pastries. When done, before the chance to pack up mu belongings, probably the owner hollered from behind the counter that I had to take my cups to the bucket. I always do this no matter where I go; yet, having the rude reminder was a huge turn-off! Bad coffee and horrible service! Never again! I will take my money elsewhere.

We stopped here on our way home from Tahoe for coffee and a potty break. There lattes were very nice and I always appreciate when a local shop roasts their own beans. They also have a good variety of specialty drinks. I had an iced chai latte which was very nice. Their parking lot is small and a little hard to get into but the shop is nice and clean and the owner and sraff were very nice and welcoming.

Outstanding coffee roastery. If you seek standout coffee beans this is definitely worth the drive. A genuinely high end and refined bean variety, roasted and prepared to perfection. This is what proper coffee tastes like. And for the Aussie and Kiwis who are notoriously hard to please, look no further. Flat white is a standard menu option.

Came in with my husband back in July on our wedding anniversary. I had just taken him to an appointment at Kaiser and it was early in the morning. Instead of a friendly pick-me-up stop for us, we both felt like the employees were the ones who needed a morning coffee more than we did. Really not a friendly vibe.
Coffee wasn't bad but it was almost $8 for both our drinks and I only had a black drip coffee. For that price at least give me a smile and don't act impatient when I ask to use honey in my coffee instead of sugar.

Best organic coffee and organic teas! They even have almond and organic soy milk. They roast their own beans in the front of their store so you can watch! Easily one of the best little coffee shops in the entire SF Bay Area.

I’ve been a barista for years, and Pacific Bay not only has incredible customer service, but they also have superb coffee. An absolute favorite.

I am hoping there will be a response to this, correcting me if I am wrong. The shop is cozy, comfortable and clean, but the service can improve.
I went in this morning to have breakfast. I had brewed my own preferred coffee at home and just got their breakfast sausage sandwich (not that good, seemed premade a while ago and just reheated) and madelines.
I had to do some work so I sat there for a couple of hours. I was planning on having lunch and afternoon coffee at some point there too. Until around 1 pm it got so hot in there that it was unbearable. I had to get up and leave. As I was exiting I noticed the owner look at me out of the corner of their eyes, saying no ‘thank you’ or ‘goodbye’, as if they were frustrated for my staying there too long with little consumption and had made it deliberately too hot to chase me out... Same guy earlier had pointed to the bucket of dirty dishes when I brought mine to the counter to give it to him (I would’ve taken that dish and thanked the customer who cleaned after themselves instead).
Again, I hope I am wrong, but it all felt too unwelcoming today.
