I visited The Kit Fox Cafe on a long motorcycle trip and was glad that I found this place. It is a true oasis in the middle of desert. Everything homemade from fresh and healthy ingredients. I live in Chicago’s Little Italy and haven’t had a calzone that was anywhere as good as the one at this cafe. Focaccia bread sandwiches were perfect and the breakfast along with their coffee were beyond those of any new hipster joint in a large metropolis.
Did I mention that it has the atmosphere of a home kitchen you don’t want to leave? Definitely worth another bike trip to.

Outstanding food 4.75 ⭐️
Outstanding service 5+ ⭐️ (Courtney and her hubby are awesome)
Quaint lil cafe in the middle of a weird building covered in pictures of Death Valley (tho it could use music)

Tasty choice of pizza toppings, bakery items, drinks, comfortable seating: all enhanced by cheerful conversations.

So excited that we found this amazing coffee shop in Tecopa! Everything here is homemade and you can tell it is a labor of love - so fresh and great menu. It is definitely worth a drive if you are in the area (right off of the old Spanish Trail Highway which is a much more interesting road if you are heading towards Death Valley)

Another great desert discovery.
If you are anywhere near tecopa, ca, you have to stop by and eat. We had the Calzone, Focaccia and Bean soup.
All of it was amazing. We took home scones, pumpkin bread and muffins. It was all very good.
The folks that own the place are really nice people.

I showed up in the middle of the baker cooking new batches. They did have some yummy cookies that I bought.

Set aside the fact that they provide sustenance in the middle of the desert; Pepperoni roll and a spinach and garlic calzone type baked good, hot out of the oven, that were fresher than your drunk uncle Albert at a Vegas pool party, and more delicious than double fried butter. Couple that with with handmade, home-baked coffee cake that simply has no rival. Full stop. That and some ice cold sparkling water for around $11. I was fortunate to spend a few minutes in the presence of the folks running the place. Clearly, they have a passion for what they do and for the area they are doing it in. They make Tecopa, and the Death Valley area a better place. I will stop by if I'm NOT going to be in the area because it and they are that good. You will be on your couch 5 years after eating the food talking about 'remember how good that food was out to the Kit Fox in Tecopa?' It's like that.

I visited the Kitfox cafe a few times during their first 2 months of being open in Tecopa and really enjoyed their espresso coffee and tasty food selections. They make everything from scratch and it's all delicious! What a wonderful find in remote Tecopa! Will definitely visit again!
