Poppy Coffee

I never write a review. Never coming back. Came for one panini, there was no line or anything, took over 40 minutes and more people showed up and got their order before us. My bf then went to ask about how much longer and she said 6 minutes. Our guess is they completely forgot. Then her excuse was that it was because a paper with a discount didn’t print, like what? We would have been there all day if we never mentioned. Never been so disappointed in a place before.

The coffee and food at Poppy is very good , the ambiance is great . I give it 4 stars , but I do have one complaint, I usually don’t come to Poppy but today I did come to enjoy coffee and lunch with my cousins.
The barista making the drinks today was extremely rude , I haven’t experienced this before with the other staff when I visit , so I was taken back .
I wanted to make sure if I had the correct drink , so I asked the barista if the drink she was making was mine , her tone and attitude was very unpleasant. I have never been treated this way before at Poppy. I believe her name was Bernice , one of the staff there told me her name . I hope my experience will be much better next time .

A nice coffee shop. I go there occasionally for lunch and coffee. A friendly environment with good service. No complaints. A nice coffee shop to hang out at. Non corporate independently owned.

I tried to place an order on the phone but they answered and then didnt take the order. All I could hear is people in the background. I decided to go there and it Took about 25 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich. It is terrible. Sloppy mess with way to much cream cheese on both sides… and that’s saying something because I love cream cheese. The sausage is cheap, super fatty, and has a strange taste. Is says it come with a poached egg but it’s hard cooked but somehow still had uncooked snotty white egg. Seriously the worst breakfast sandwich ever. I ate a few bites before throwing it away. This may be my 3th or 4th review ever.

I had placed 3 food orders only received two. Called 4 times that day no one answered. So I decided to call the next day and someone finally answered. They assured me through the phone that I could come in and tell them my name and that they’ll complete my order. Came in today and blonde short worker was super rude and started to get very agitated when I told her the situation. Super rude the whole time, worst customer service ever. Shouldn’t be working in the customer service industry if she is going to have an attitude like that. Never was once rude to her just wanted to get my order I never received. I would come here often but will definitely never come back. Do better poppy coffee….

Employee on cash register was new. Owner/manager(she) was there. We were in town for a funeral, she was busy but still took time to offer a sentiment. Food menu looked enticing, however we were on our way. Restroom was clean. We always look for local.

Even though it wasn't on the menu I asked for a pour over coffee and the gentlemen made it for me with excitement on his face. It was a bit more than I'd like to pay for a cup of coffee but it was tasty. I also like the interior design and set up. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy your coffee.

The food and atmosphere is great. The coffee is made to a high standard, but falls short of the highest quality that you’d find in a more competitive coffee market. Where it falls short is in the sourcing and quality control for their beans, as well as expert knowledge of the baristas. For the market in Stockton, it’s very good.

Absolutely awful customer service from all employees and owner. I will never come to this business ever again.

I won’t be coming here again.
I ordered one coffee, and two bagel sandwiches, and a banana....
It came out to $28.
Those items took 30 minutes to make.
3 people went in and out, all with coffees and sandwiches, and I came in before them.

Bagel sandwiches were cold, skimped on everything in and on it.
The coffee taste is off as well.....
And no, there was only ONE doordash order that was picked up.

I really hope they improve soon.
