Tahoe Bear Tea House

I live in the Bay Area in Fremont where there are as many milk tea spots as there are Starbucks, and this spot is right up there with other good tea houses. The space is very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The selection of drinks is good. The downside is the price of the drinks are more expensive than any other place I’ve been. But since there aren’t many other boba soots up here in Tahoe, it’s worth the visit.

Came here to grab a couple of streamers and hot chocolates to warm up our 3 year old twins and the hubby. The staff were unable to make anything milk-based as they said the steamer was currently broken... No problem. Instead we ordered the kids non-caffinated strawberry&raspberry tea since the staff said it was sweet. The tea they gave us we had told them were for THREE YEAR OLDS was so hot that it burned MY mouth, and let me tell you I like my drinks H-O-T. So glad I had tried it first! Not only was it way too hot, it was not sweet whatsoever. Instead of asking them why they were so negligent, we just asked them if we could please get a second cup with some cold water to cool it off. We were told they could only give us sink water in the cups we already had. Seriously. I was getting visibly annoyed at this point, but I politely asked for some ice which they miraculously gave us in a second cup. The peach oolong tea they gave my hubby was also not sweet whatsoever despite them raving about it being the sweetest one on their menu... Not sure if the entire staff lost their ability to taste anything from COVID or their common sense that drinks explicitly stated were for 3 year olds should always be TEPID?!
Disappointed with the maintenance issues and surprisingly pricing, definitely shocked by their negligence in almost scalding our kids and annoyed with their inaccurate recommendations.
There was a unique Lego room for kids that the twins did enjoy and the place was clean and nicely decorated.
Leaving here happy to patron Free Bird Chai just across the parking lot instead.

Popped in for a quick boba tea, but was pleased by the nice atmosphere, and coming in with kids, the wall of Legos were also a nice surprise and pass time while we enjoyed our bobas. Hope to get to go here again 🤙🏼

We love this place. Went to South Lake tahoe today kind of spur of the moment. Got this place up as soon as we arrived. I loved my dragon fruit smoothie with extra boba. We always come here and try something new. Keep up the great work! Great tasting drinks all day!

My little brothers and I are always coming to this boba house because we love their drinks, they always taste fantastic. Our go to boba drinks are ube latte, Hokkaido, and fire bear signature milk tea. Delicious.

This is a gem!!! Having our daily boba tea in Lake Tahoe. The place is so pleasant and clean and adorable. Come and enjoy the space, and of course, your boba, too!!!!!

Our wait was very long. They did apologize, but I felt like people after us were getting their drinks before we did. It was probably a 15 to 20 min wait for 2 drinks. Also, if you are looking for traditional coffee drinks this is not your place. If you're into tea though, give it a shot.

Absolutely amazing all around. Beautiful spacious environment with lovely plants all around. Really great selection of drinks and great menu presentation. The ladies running the show were very kind, sweet, and helpful. I had the taro milk tea with oat milk and boba and it was the perfect level of sweetness and flavor, not too sweet. My partner had the mango fresh tea and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend stopping here for a great cold beverage.

The tea has too much milk, I can't taste the actual tea (Please consider).Flavor is great! The boba is fresh and chewy... Friendly environment relaxed atmosphere, pleasant overall.
