Nice interior, friendly service, but coffee is an average Starbucks quality, overroasted and bitter. If you like very dark roast it might be your place, but we are not coming back. Pastries are from Costco or so, did not look appealing to us.

Locally owned, friendly staff, great coffee, great atmosphere. Off-the-beaten path.

I usually get a splash of lavender flavor in my latte. Today, my latte was additionally topped off with fresh, organic lavender that originated from the Meyer's farmers market. What a nice surprise!

I added a picture of today's cup, unfortunately it was after I already had a couple sips, so the top doesn't look quite as perfect as when it was delivered to me.

This is a small but interesting cafe. The latte’s here were tasty. I got the honey vanilla latte which was fantastic. The shops located around it looked average.

Best place to get a latte anywhere near the lake, always warm and friendly! They’ve got some incredible local art displayed as well.

I love everything about this cute coffee shop. Tlsuper friendly staff. Great coffee! It's not super sweet and in the pumpkin season they use a puree not syrup for the pumpkin lattee with a little honey, so yummy. They have a reward points too which is a nice perk. This is my first choice in all coffee shops of southlake tahoe. It's good to support our local small business. If you love coffee stop at bare-roots . You will return.

Absolutely the best coffee shop in Tahoe, thier raspberry mocha is to die for!! The support local artists, sell their own roasted coffee. Great atmosphere dog friendly, amazing customer service.

Love this little shop. They're great about customizing your order, and they have cool extras like mushroom order and CBD. They support local crafts people with lots of options to buy local art. Their chai tea latte is spicy instead of sweet which is so good - thank goodness I found one lol! bathroom is clean.

Some of the best coffee I have ever had. Freshly roasted in house. Phenomenal service, cool atmosphere, every coffee lover should stop in on their Tahoe visit.

Found this little gem while passing through Tahoe and all I can say is WOW!!! The best coffee I've ever had and to be able to watch the owner roast the beans through the viewing window was priceless!! Great service and don't forget to look at all the beautiful art for sale on the walls by local artists. I would make the 3 hour drive again to have a cup of this gold!

The best coffee in town! Justin has a great thing going here with phenomenal coffee, super friendly staff, and clean shop.
Their golden chai is stellar.
If you think Starbucks has good coffee, do yourself a favor and come get the real deal.
