This is a true gem. A coffee shop in the old rectory of the church. The baked goods (maple scone! Cookies, brownies, frittata) were all really good, and it was a friendly, casual atmosphere. Coffee and hot chocolate were excellent as well. Saturday morning they do cartoons and playtime for the kids, and it kept us busy for almost 2 hours. Definitely a good local experience!
The first time I went into Holy Grounds I could tell there was something different about it. The Place had a warm feeling that welcomed me in. Not only did I enjoy the homemade pastries and coffee, but the visit I had with the ladies made me want to be apart of Holy Grounds and what it represented so much that I became a volunteer. 😊
We had driven by a few times and the name was so clever, we had to stop and try it out. So glad we did! Plenty of parking, and a great outdoor seating area to enjoy the beautiful local weather! Inside, the menu is abundant with tasty-sounding options, and the pastry counter is overwhelming - everything looks so delicious! All fresh and fluffy, with large portions. We almost couldn't decide on an entree (the quiche is highly recommended, and another patron was expressing his gratitude for his breakfast burrito). The breakfast sandwich I got was flavorful and the toasted sourdough wasn't scratchy on the roof of my mouth. Oh, and the side salad was tossed in a really good vinaigrette! We split a warm slice of banana loaf and it was INCREDIBLE. I really should have gotten my own, I didn't want to share it!! The frosting melted and we used forks to dip each bite. Honestly, thinking about it is making me want to go back for more... So glad we stopped in, can't wait to go back and try the quiche and scones!

So glad I stopped by. Gluten free spinach bacon quiche was delicious. Also picked up an almond poppy seed muffin and pumpkin spice muffin.
