The staff was friendly, the croissants were delicious. Takes me back to when I was growing up in Santa Rosa 25 years ago. The quality has stayed the same, if not better over that same time.

Excellent hot tea and yummy pastries make this a favorite for the Sunday brunch-for-less crowd. You can often score a discarded Sunday paper here, too, and browse through its pages while sipping your Earl Grey and nibbling a chocolate croissant. In spring, they put out the giant chess set in the corner yard, and you can also play or kibbutz a game in the sunshine. High-brow, low-$$$ fun!

Girl with long brown hair in a ponytail behind the counter was scratching and picking at her scalp while waiting for me to order was grossing me out. I was glad another girl made our food. Also the almond croissant was disappointing; it had almond paste only in the ends and not in the center. Looks like it could be a fun place but I wouldn't go there again.

This is the best place to do work out of all the cafes I've tried in Santa Rosa. Croissants (I recommend the almond) and bagels are delicious and goes well with coffee, tea, or Yerba Mate. The staff is super friendly and always ready to greet you with a smile. Seating is plentiful with outlets available around the room. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
There is limited parking, which fills during the morning rush.
NOTE: The website says it is open until 5pm on weekdays, but the Santa Rosa location closes at 4pm every day.

Love the mom and pop vibe of the place... personally I come here because the price is low and the service is fast. I think all of the bad reviews on here are overly picky for the type of family owned restaurant that this wonderful little breakfast place is. I 100% suggest trying cafe des croissants!

Delightful little breakfast stop!! The croissants are a perfect balance of buttery and flaky goodness. We had the Jalasausage breakfast sandwich (served on a homemade croissant) and it was absolutely amazing! Staff is very friendly as well.

Nice place, good food, and it has outside eating area.

Disappointed. The croissant was dense not light and flaky. The two kids were hustling but obviously overwhelmed. Used to come here years ago when they first opened. Different owners. They obviously did not keep the original recipe.

These are the people you want to see when you first wake up every morning. Everyone is sooooo friendly and nice. I've worked across the street for nearly five years and it's always been amazing. Foods great as well! Try a Beggin Eggin on a croissant!
