Honestly, I don't like A'Roma Roasters.
The drinks aren't bad, and there are some nice baristas, but I and every other member of my family have had uncomfortable interactions with the owner, where we were told to order or get out before we'd even had a chance to decide what we want. There are also signs in the back room reminding patrons not to linger too long after purchasing your drink. It's all rather unwelcoming.
But, if the owner isn't there, the rest of the staff is quite friendly. Best time is to go at night. The best thing about A'Roma Roasters is how late they're open.

A'Roma Roasters is an institution. I can vouch for it going back to the early 2000s, and today as an adult it's even more enjoyable.
The coffee and tea is high-quality. I just had the lemon myrtle, my friend a just-right iced coffee, and her boyfriend had a lemonade. All delicious.
There's above-average food, and ice cream next door. Music some evenings adds a good ambiance. Seating is more sparse than it appears, so don't forget there's outdoor seating around Railroad Square.
Can't recommend this place enough for anytime of day.

Awesome, coffee Shop. I love the Vibe. Some nights they have live musicians. Great place to get some studying or work done with a cup of your favorite beverage by you side. :)
Can get a bit packed though and difficult to find a spot to plug in a laptop so just be warned. Usually if I wait a bit someone will leave and a spot will open up though.

Nice coffee and vibe. Good tea choices. Only downside is expensive city parking.

Got the Vietnamese ice coffee, and it was all right. Not strong.
My wife loved the Expresso+coffee. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, to enjoy in the middle of Santa Rosa.

If all you want is coffee, maybe. But don't order any food. They messed up our order and our friends. It took more than an hour to get the wrong food. Grossly understaffed by inexperienced people. Never again

A little pricey and to bad you can't park in the back anymore

Updated Review.
Not much has changed over the years. I still only come on occasion when my prefered coffee shops are closed, which at night is all too often the case, so here I come. Still very inconsistent with service and coffee drinks, but a decent space to be and meet folks.
I used to come here and will on occasion to meet friends.
They are open late and have a good sense of community, but
mediocre to terrible coffee and food.
A few blocks away is Brew and they have outstanding coffee and beer too!

Everything you'd expect from a top notch coffee joint. Minus horrendous prices for sub par coffee. Love EVERYTHING A'Roma's has to offer. We grind at home and be sure to pick up a treat and a punch card for a free cup when buying by the pound. Enjoy!

Really disappoint~went here looking for an Americano. Had to pay to park $25¢ for 10 mins. The line was long, but I could smell the brew, so why not🤷♀️... Decided it would be more then 10 mins, so I popped in another quarter, only to find out while placing my order, they don't offer Heavy Whipping Cream!!! Are you kidding me? What kind of coffee place is this!!! Vegan options abound in "milk"choices, but not for the ketogenic lifestyle apparently. Walked out empty handed with 18 mins left on my meter...
