After visiting Shrine Coffee on multiple occasions, I am finally taking the time to write about how much I love this little shop. The location adjacent to the Shrine church on West Cliff is truly unrivaled. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but their pastries and hot chocolate are enough to bring me in every time I’m in the area. I cannot recommend Shrine coffee enough to anyone looking to relax, take in the sites of Santa Cruz and enjoy a great latte.

Visited on our first day of a week vacation I'm Santa Cruz and went back every morning after. Awesome place. Great coffee. Great people. Great, relaxing atmosphere.

Get the Spanish Latte! I'm glad I tried it! Also, purchased a 20oz. thermos and it works GREAT! Much better than the FIVE BUCKS place! We'll definitely come back! 💯👌🏻

Shrine is an absolute gem. The coffee is so good and I love the outdoor courtyard with the water fountain. We went there nearly every day on our weeklong stay in Santa Cruz. One day we went somewhere else just to switch it up and quickly decided we needed to go back to Shrine. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Amazing interior and exterior. Their coffees are simply amazing. Iced Vanilla latte and Ice Mocha right next to the Beach in Santa Cruz and with it's own garden and benches.

I highly recommend that place. I should also note that they have a huge parking lot for their customers.

I LOVE Shrine Coffee! Their baristas know their stuff and are super friendly. I’ve really enjoyed just about anything I’ve tried there from the lattes to the teas, etc. it’s all been super tasty.

I’d recommend grabbing a cup of whatever you’re in the mood for and enjoying it while walking along West Cliff but if you decide to chill at Shrine there’s enough seating and the place is gorgeous.

Definitely recommend a stop at Shrine whenever you’re in Santa Cruz!

I don't leave many reviews, but this time I have to. I have Rancilio Silvia espresso machine at home which I mastered over time and make great espresso drinks which are better than 95% of all coffee shops I have ever tried over 10 years so far while being away from home. Shrine makes espresso drinks which sure get into those 5% for my taste and are very close to what I get at home with my espresso machine. Beans they use are medium roast it seems as I didn't notice that nasty oily shine and they are fresh enough so I smell and taste the aroma. I observed their barista technique and no surprise it yields good result. Likely they keep the machine clean too. Keep going and thanks for two good morning experiences!
