Good cafe mocha. You can also buy coffee beans here.

Coffee was delicious and strong we ordered cheese cake and coconut cake both very good , only think restrooms were dirty I assume is because we arrive almost at closing hour and they hadn’t been cleaned

We had our first visit to SCCR the morning of 6/19. Guilherme was very helpful at the counter and recommended a few dark roasts for me to try. My wife and I sat in the quiet study area since we like to read while at cafes and it was a little warmer in there too. Because of the sign on the wall, we kept our talking to a minimum and at whisper level. When the other person in the room needed to talk with her #2, they left the room altogether.
Unfortunately, this room is connected to the manager's office and we could hear their ongoing phone call. Because their door was open, I popped my head in and gestured closing the door. The immediate response was very rude, explaining that it would be too hot if the door were closed, that the quiet area is not a silent area, and that if I want quiet, I should go down the street to the library. Needless to say, this ruined the experience and we chugged our drinks and packed up. I confirmed with the baristas that my experience had indeed been with the manager and they apologized for the manager's behavior.
The manager came out as we were leaving to apologize, but it was half-hearted, continuing to blame the heat issue, that they were already an hour behind and had to make business calls, etc. My suggestion was that they take the sign down if management wasn't going to respect their own quiet zone. Never going back.

Great coffee place if you're visiting Santa Cruz and happen to be on Pacific Avenue.
Would suggest getting one of their espresso drinks.

Their Indian Malabar is the best coffee in the world. Brew it strong — it stays smooth, with no bitterness. Once you go Malabar, you've arrived.

Here serve the best white chocolate mocha and very friendly staff.

Well designed space with great lighting and plenty of artwork on the walls. Coffee is very, VERY good. Wifi is surprisingly weak, though.
Employees were super cool, but I have one minor complaint. Once my order was finished it was placed at the pick up window. Since I was seated on the other side of the shop I didn't hear when my name was called. Nobody attempted to locate me, which meant I ended up drinking a lukewarm coffee. I could have avoided this by waiting at the pick up window, but I feel like more of an effort could have been made to make me aware that my coffee was ready.
Also, there are practically no outlets near any of the tables. They're all covered up. If you're interested in finding a coffee shop with strong wifi where you can work remotely for an extended period of time, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This is my favorite spot to go downtown for working on projects. They're also one of the few coffee shops that have power outlets (well, one, at least, and I think only one of the two plugs is working at the moment, but oh well 😆). The coffee is good and local, though I haven't tried a lot of their blends yet (definitely going to). It's also right next to a tasty taco place (El Palomar) and smack dab in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz. Sweet spot, and great people.

Good coffee, it's downtown so lots of interesting people. The tables were dirty and sticky. The coffee bar was nasty. I didn't want to use their half and half.
