Voyager-Santa Clara University

Voyager is the sort of excellent coffee shop we all wish to find these days, but find all too increasingly are being pushed aside by larger corporate chains. From the moment one enters the place you are welcomed by the friendly attitudes of the charming staff as well as the lively yet tasteful decor; there are seats enough that one feels comfortable spending and afternoon in quiet study, with plenty of outlets and free, fast wifi.

The service itself is knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt, and the menu has enough variety of excellent craft coffees, fanciful lattes and mocha confections, as well as the occasional tea or non-caffeinated beverage, to satisfy both the connoisseur and the casual sipper. The more filling side of the menu features a cheeky selection of the millennial’s mainstay, the avocado toast, as well as a lovely assortment of the usual tarts, muffins, and pastries. Truly the best sort of coffee shop, worthy of every star.

I’ve travelled around the country over the years for work, and I’ve tried a LOT of coffee. I make it my goal anytime I land somewhere to find the best craft coffee in town (ideally roasters). In a recent trip to the Bay Area I went through a list and visited what people consider to be the best in the area. I have to say at the end of the day Voyager Coffee was UNEQUIVOCALLY the best coffee I had. My wife and I had a Valencia over ice based on the recommendation of an incredibly friendly barista (I didn’t catch her name, but she mentioned the iced Valencia was her fav. Seriously the most friendly barista we encountered in the SF area, managers take note! 🤙🏻)
Not only was the coffee the best we had, but the Valencia and Tokyo (we went back 😂) were the most creative coffee drink we’ve had in a long time. They didn’t hinder the taste of their incredible roast, and also added some unique tasting notes that were actually present in the drink. (Not like some places that have unique drinks with eye catching ingredients that you don’t end up tasting in the drink).

We also brought a bag of beans home and it’s been bomb!

This place has some really interesting coffees and a lot of signature options in coffee which makes them different from other cafes. This one has a nice ambiance and also has a tiny bookshelf if you would like to read while you have your coffee. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The coffees were real great

As you walk in you can smelled the aroma of their baked pastries!!( I can still smell with my mask on^^)

Bought Butter Mochi for my son ( he hasn't try it yet) will post later with his opinion. I am glad that I finally went to Voyager Craft Coffee! I am sure I'll definitely go back again and will post photos my next visit! 😄

My Cranberry Orange Scone so good and I got to try the Corn bread!! It's really good. Smooth texture ( breading was very light/ butterly)
My Oatmilk latte very good!! 👍
The pastries was almost gone at 9:30-ish^^

Great coffee in a cute little shop right near campus with many little walkable locations to go and sit and drink your coffee. Otherwise, there are tons of little tables to sit at and get work done while sipping coffee or talk. Definitely try some of the seasonal mixes as they are really really good! The pumpkin one is a bit pumpkin-y if you're not a huge pumpkin fan, but the other season (berry something?) is absolutely amazing with oat milk!

Tip: get there early on weekends! Like 8am to avoid long lines.

Coffee: had the Lexington, perfect blend of vanilla and bourbon. Try with oat milk for an even better balance of flavors.

Poptart: not a poptart person, but the cherry cheesecake was amazing: perfectly flakey and great balance of tanginess, sweetness and cherry flavor!!

Hip coffee place aptly located in the SCU campus- great flavour options and seems like a nice cafe to relax in post pandemic. Service was fast and staff were friendly. Warm, welcoming decor. Really liked the rattan lamps.

Recommend the Valencia coffee which is orange flavoured. Really unique combination which also includes coconut.

Also recommend the North Pole coffee which is peppermint chocolate flavoured.

Coffees were warm not boiling hot, which was appreciated.

Amazing coffee place with the trendy Valencia latte which is really delicious.

Espresso is delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This place is busy most of the time, so it does take a little bit of time for your coffee or food, but the coffee shop itself is beautiful and has large windows for people/ traffic watching. I do wish they would water/ tend their plants more. Overall, 5 stars!
