Cajé is a prized treasure to the Santa Barbara downtown scene. Embodying creativity and craftsmanship, Cajé's food and drinks are made with intentionality to the customer. A blend of the rising third wave coffee movement and authentic Italian coffee culture, this 'mom-and-pop' place reflects the importance of seeing your coffee and food not as a mundane experience in your day, but as something to be enjoyed! Cajé elevates the dignity of their customers-- through their skill, courtesy, quality, and speed at which food and drinks are served. It’s the best damn coffee in town!! Support your local caffeine dealers!!

Excellent coffee with a large, stylish patio on the lovely traffic-free State St. Inside seating is almost none, but with the outside space it’s not missed at all.

Sometime by just walking around the city of Santa Barbara, can be find places like this!!
Cozy atmosphere surrounding with plants, and nice people sharing the knowledge by making a warm cup of coffee to enjoying with family.

The coffee here is excellent! Not at all bitter, just good smooth coffee. They make their own almond milk, although it is sweetened with dates (not surprising, as very few coffee shops have an up sweetened milk alternative available).

The atmosphere of the place is clean and simple. There isn’t much space inside to relax while you sip, but here were a few tables outside. Now of a coffee to go place.

Good coffee in a cool little shop. Nice variety of some preparable foods. Nothing on the grab and go side of things, just to be aware

I love Cajé Coffee Roaster! They make some amazing drinks. My favorite drink is a toss up between either the house made Vanilla latte or the house made Carmel latte. Yum! I also got a bag of their roasted coffee beans to take home with me. Their bag designs are very artistic and are a fun addition to my kitchen counter top.

Love the elegant atmosphere. Found this spot while walking down state street. Your mind will be blown by this spot! They make all their own chai, mocha, vanilla, whipped cream, Carmel, and from my knowledge the only coffee shop in town has that makes their own almond milk! Every drink has been amazing!

I wish I could say this was a great experience. I came to visit Santa Barbara for the first time with my three sisters and came across Cajé Paseo Via Square. I bought $7 coffees for each of my three sisters and myself. The taste was so bad, one of my sisters said it tasted like raw meat and all of us agreed. We each took a couple sips and could not proceed to torture ourselves any longer. We had to throw each of them away. What a waste of $28.

Especially for the price, you’d think this place would be a lot better, unfortunately that was not the case. The roast I got in my latte tasted sour and burnt and the matcha tasted like heavy cream and ice with not one hint of matcha... Needless to say, the drinks were tossed after a few sips and we went to Daily Grind for some good coffee.
