Great coffee in a location that can’t be beat. Order yourself a locally roasted coffee and hang out in the loft seating area with views of the ocean and pier. There’s also plenty of outdoor seating with ocean views if that’s what you’re looking for. They also have a light pastry and tea options as well as coffee and merch for sale. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and patient and it’s just good vibes all around. If you’re passing through Avila, definitely stop in.

Great shop, good vibes, friendly barista. I got the bacon and date scone (delicious) and a latte with some kind of brown butter maple syrup, also delish. Love the tall ceilings and greenery. Open and airy.

Great spot when open, haven’t figured out their hours as it seems to not be consistent. I come to the public market frequently. But the area is really cool, they took time to decorate the experience, super friendly staff, they have ice cream (🤤), hot teas, kombucha on draft, coffees, light snacks and outdoor shared seating! They have food (breakfast burrito) on the menu, haven’t tried it yet. But solid spot to stop in if they are open!

Great espresso. Nice vibe. Outdoor seating a big plus. Tesla supercharger is a one minute walk away. Bathroom facilities very clean. Baristas very friendly.

short/easy menu, and lattes are pretty good too. but I really want to call out their croissants! they are amazingly good! buttery and flaky AND there's a great chew. not like the limp chewy croissants you get from Starbucks. I was genuinely surprised at how great the texture was! (Dec 2022)

Traveling from Milan Italy where I had a cappuccino every day for a week I was happy to come home to San Luis Obispo and enjoy a cappuccino at Kraken.

My $6.75 Vanilla Latte was Luke warm. Requested extra hot. Barista asked if she could microwave it. I understand that. I had sipped out of it already. How difficult is extra hot.$6.75!!! I’ll never visit it there again. It was my first time in.

Good coffee and ice cream near a supercharger. Restrooms nearby as well in the complex.

If you are in the SLO area and are getting coffee anywhere but here, you are wasting your time. I have had coffee from this specific location at least 5 times and it has yet to fail me. Good taste , good price and great customer service. Cam especially was helpful and friendly. My new go to spot
