Good place for coffee and bagels and/or munchies. You can always get to go, but it's a cozy nice place if you want to sit and eat/drink there. You can get mugs and t-shirts as well, friendly staff and fast service. Good recommendation if you want something different from your regular Starbucks or hotel coffee, if it's the case.

Very friendly staff and a clean environment right next to our hotel. The drip coffee was fine, but the french toast bagels and hot chocolate were outstanding.

I came for breakfast around 8 AM on a Friday morning, there was a line when I came and throughout the stay. I saw reviews about this so I expected a line and wait for food as well. I was here for business and it was my free day so the wait was not an issue.
During the order, the cashier misheard my McLovin' as muffin, so there was little surprised when I was given macha for my mocha order.
Some customers were showing frustration in the wait. Orders were verified manual to everyone in the restaurant. My bagel order was delayed a little, but I was enjoying my mocha so much I didn't care.
THIS WAS THE BEST MOCHA I'VE HAD.
The McLovin' was good, filling, actually portion was too big for me. Spill The Beans' bagels are size humongous, so little ladies beware.
Good vibe, clean place, awesome coffees, and huge bagels. Will come back if I ever get back to San Diego :)

Very nice place for breakfast or a quick bite. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. Coffee and food definitely taste better than what you will get at your average Starbucks.

The coffee and the kombucha was top notch, the branding was to die for, and my everything seasoning bagel was salty and delicious. It’s a far drive for me, but I got a hat because the bagel was so good. 💯 worth it!

This is BY FAR my favourite place in San Diego. Spill the beans is a hip and chic Coffee and Bagel bar where the key word is fresh. There are some great options for coffee (Dark Horse blends), Kombucha, and most importantly, the best bagels you will likely find in San Diego.
Jullianna, Connor and the staff are so friendly. They made us feel welcome every time we've gone and have started to feel like friends of ours in San Diego.
The location is great, right in the core of the Gas Lamp Quarter, and it does tend to get popular around the breakfast and break-time hours.
There are also neat "Pot Head" souvenirs to buy, including t-shirts, mugs and tumblers, perfect to show your life for your soon-to-be favourite coffee and bagel shop!
You'll be happy you stopped here, and be craving their bagels when you're not there.

Delicious! Try their Mexican Mocha and do yourself a favor and get the bagels. The spreads are really tasty. The Oatmeal, while good, is a little small for $6 - but I’m still giving 5 stars because I really enjoyed the bagel and coffee.

*TL;DR at the bottom
If you’re looking for a da*n good breakfast sandwich, bagel or spread you HAVE to stop here. Not only are their bagels absolutely delicious but they have THE best spreads. My favorite spreads for my bagels are the maple butter (TO DIE FOR) and the agave and vanilla cream cheese (10/10). I love their plain bagel, sesame and French toast.
My go-to breakfast sandwich is “The McLovin’”, it is on a bagel of your choosing (go for the sesame) egg, cheese, sausage and maple butter 🤩. All the important food groups on a sandwich. If you’re an avocado lover, they have the “Millennial” which is LOADED with cado. My friend orders that one every time and they never skip on the avocado.
Not only do they have good food, but their coffees are awesome. The baristas really know what they are doing behind the bar and they have a ton of different concoctions. If you’re a plain old black coffee kinda person (weirdo) you’ll still be able to find that here. However, if you’re like me and love to try different lattes and flavors you have to try their “La Vida Mocha” (dark chocolate and coffee? Sign me TF up!). Their caramel latte which is called the “Basic Sitch” isn’t too sweet but has enough sweetness that even my boyfriend enjoys ordering it and he typically only drinks black coffee.
If you’re picky about your milks, they offer non-fat, whole milk, soy, almond, oat and macadamia. You can add flavors to your coffee and extra shots.
If you read through all that or are just looking for the tl;dr here it is: Try this place out if you like good bagels and enjoy good coffee. You won’t be disappointed. The customer service is awesome and you can’t beat the prices! You can order ahead with either Postmates, DoorDash, or Uber East or just be a cool kid and order at the cafe.
*during COVID times, you need to wear a mask to go inside and order and you can only dine outside of the restaurant or to-go. They do have plexiglass in between customers and workers when you order and have hand sanitizer stations all over (thx for doing this). Their hours may differ right now so call them or check out their website for the new hours. Be respectful of their rules and don’t give them any sh*t.
**they are also working on a new cafe by seaport village. I cannot wait for that location to open and grab coffee while on my walks by the harbor.

Delicious bagels and coffee. My favorite so far is either the Millennial (bagel with avocado and seeds) or the Thighmaster. You can't go wrong here for breakfast.
