Hob Coffee East Village

Absolutely love this place. They take great care in making the perfect cup of espresso - they actually weigh it to the gram. Love it, love it, love it.

Guy behind the counter was a bit snobbish and the latte I had was overpriced. Figured I'd give a local business a shot, but I have no problem giving my money to Starbucks instead.

1st visit we fell in love with pourover coffee & staff interactions
2nd visit staff was nice drip coffee was good enough for a 2nd cup
3rd visit drip coffee was insipid but staff fixed once I told them (replaced my cup with a pourover)
cozy spot with pillows and jack johnson filling the air
I lose time here....but am happy when I leave

Probably the best coffee shop downtown. Friendly owners, great cold brew and great lattes with homemade vanilla.

Great coffee with unique flavour profile. Clean, modern, chill music and plenty of space on weekend! Will be back!

I always enjoy stopping here when I'm in town. It's within walking distance of the convention center and Petco Park. The service is excellent and the coffee is tremendous.

They won't do espresso over ice, they don't do chai lattes. The cold brew I had was good. I'd rather go to Starbucks.

I would love this place even if it weren't on top of the Central library! If you get a chance, try their teas, but by all means have some hoppy cold-brew!

I am very picky about my coffee and the coffee I gad here is one of the best I had in the US. The Avocado sandwich was also very tasty.
