What a fantastic place! We were visiting in town and walked here everyday for the great company and coffee! Morgan was so friendly and everyone at the stand was beyond welcoming, friendly, and made the best dang coffee! What a gem! We initially came for the coffee and returned for the company! Would highly recommend the California Bean!

I have been coming here for about 7 years(OLD Pb location)and I always get the same thing, it never fails! I make this a must stop place every time I'm in SD.

Love stopping here! It's a perfect, convenient stop on a walk from the train station. All the baristas are so friendly and lively, and service is crazy fast - - my coffee is usually ready by the time they finish processing payment. The standard menu is small (compared to major coffee chains), but they have a super interesting and varied seasonal menu. They offer white coffee, too, which is reason itself to stop by and give this place a try.
Pastries are pretty standard fare, but they're fairly priced so it's not a bad deal. Plus, sometimes an almond-poppyseed muffin hits the spot to fix a bad morning.

Way to expensive, theres no need for a coffee to reach 10$ . I paid 14 dollars for a coffee and bagel. not coming back here

Great coffee!!! Way better than Starbucks and better priced. The sugar free options for flavoring were great and the chocolate chip banana bread was heavenly! Wish I knew about this place before my last day in San Diego.

Look, if you want a surgery sweet coffee, then this is the place for you. But correctly brewed espresso, these baristas do not. Overbrewed, incorrect ratios, yuck.

Incredible food and coffee! We went here everyday we were in Old Town. The staff were friendly, helpful, and all around amazing. I would recommend it to everyone! Try the parfait and peppermint patty coffee!
