I love this place. I've been here a handful of times over the years while in town visiting family. A great spot to sit down and drink a coffee with a friend. Their scones and breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I love that it's a local, family run coffee shop.

May have been an off day, but I will not be coming back as it really is not worth the trip. The drip coffee tasted burnt, and the latte had a very thin foam with big bubbles. The people behind the counter this day had zero pride in their work. Dirty tables and chairs.

Nice independent shop that roasts their own beans. I bought a half pound of the Ethiopian Harrar beans and they gave me a complimentary cup of drip coffee to go with it. Thanks! I haven't had good luck with brewing the beans -- possibly the Harrar process is not for me. I was looking for a light roasted coffee and they taste pretty dark.

Really friendly owners but the roaster is far too hot. All the coffee beans taste burned, even the lightly roasted ones.
The ice cream is good though.

A modest cafe with ample seating with typical breakfast cafe menu and a selection of ground coffee. Also they have quite a selection of Mediterranean delights. I saw there were four sizes of coffee sold here instead of the usual three!!! Coffee was good, nothing extraordinary. I haven't tried other items on the menu yet. On any day you'll find people sitting in the armchairs outside the cafe sipping coffee and their pet sitting underneath the seat, some others spending time with their friends or family inside the cafe and few getting some work done. All in all, a nice cafe in the downtown of San Carlos.

Lavender flavor icecream is sooo good.
House blend coffee no sour taste at all just the way I like it!

Ahh the smell of coffee as you enter!!! If I could, I'd go to this place just to smell the fragrance of freshly ground coffee everyday. The place was clean, has a huge variety of items on their menu, and takes required Covid-19 precautions. I got a cafe mocha and the savory Columbian cheese bun, which the owner warmed for me. Both were delicious, especially, they went well together on a cold winter evening.

Friendly neighborhood, family owned coffee joint. Not sure how much of self roasting they do nor quite understand the interior theme of a surf shack. Also they seem to sell anything and everything. Coffee is spot on. Great tasting latte. Will return.

A family owned and operated coffee shop with some hearty breakfast items.
Bagel Sandwiches
Their House of Bagels menu is packed with delicious options. Personally I'm not a fan of strips of bacon in my sandwiches but having chopped bacon made it easy for me to enjoy.
Coffee Beans
They have a wide selection of coffee beans that are roasted in the store. The best time to purchase is Wednesday as they usually roast Wednesday mornings.
Acai Bowl
This was by far the most refreshing acai bowl I've ever had. They use fruit that is from the Farmers market and there is no additional sugar added to the bowl. It's an absolute must try! It can be served in a bowl or as a smoothie.
Seating:
Plenty of tables and chairs inside and a few set up outside but go early or later in the morning as locals will gather for their daily coffee and conversations.
They also serve ice cream, tea and pastries.
Parking
Street parking is available on both sides of the street. One thing to be mindful of are the trees. Expect tree sap on your car as the city seems to not maintain the health of the trees.

Wonderful neighborhood coffeeshop and a great place to bring your kids. They roast coffee every week (on Sunday's I think). Highly recommend this for families and anyone wanting to get away from a corporate chain.
