One of the best cafes in the entire bay.

Just went out for dessert with some friends, and surprise! Best freaking artisan ice cream ever!! And I've been to all the artsy joints in SF and LA and Austin etc. This place is worth a trip to Point Richmond, a very nice little neighborhood you've never heard of. Eat this ice cream and you might decide to move there. Oh they also have coffee, tea and food.

My friend and I rode our bikes from Albany down to the bay and then north. We decided to check out Point Richmond and then went into the old time town of Richmond for a small "bite".
It was my first time at Kaleidescape Coffee. It is cute as a button! People were lined up to get their treats. Besides coffees, mochas, and hot chocolate, they have chai tea, and matcha tea. They also have avocado toast, and desserts including vegan options. Now let's have drum roll for the ice cream by Tara...I ended up getting a scoop of geranium, and one of lavender ice cream. They were a departure from the darkest chocolate ice cream I can find. Those flavors were very light, and delicious.
The building itself is made of brick from the old brick factory in Richmond. The service was sweet--like the ice cream!!! The bathroom even had style. I am so happy to see that this place is making it during the pandemic

This place has the best lattes and avocado toast. The lattes aren't too sweet. They make their own flavoring for the drinks. The avocado toast has lots of pepper and olive oil. The employees are cheerful and friendly. Can't find one thing to complain about.

I wish there were many more stars.
-quality coffee
-rad staff
-amazing community events! Do check out Spanish guitar Sunday afternoons
-But most importantly atmosphere, beautiful decor, really comfy couches, much work space, backyard(not sure if open to public), pretty awesome bathroom with a chalk board π
And...... Some pretty rare kaleidoscopes on shelves! πππ
This place rocks!

Amazing gem in old town historic Richmond! Sweet and helpful staff, beautiful exposed brick interior with some cool decor and lots of cool books to read and kaleidoscopes for kids and adults to play with. Comfy couches and lots of seating!

Just delightful. A favorite place to visit for me and my daughter. The coffee, tea, cocoa are delicious, but we also love their quiches, salad, and bakery items. They very thoughtfully have PB&J sandwiches wrapped and ready to grab, if you just have no time or little cash. (They use creamy instead of crunchy, which is of course wrong, but I still like 'em. :-) These all would be more than sufficient, but Kaleidoscope also is an ice cream shop, book shop and swap, performance space, and general comfy hangout locale. And the people are helpful and friendly. There's no reason to buy your coffee from the mega-chain down the street.

It has vegan stuff for all those do good ers. It plays the music just loud enough for you to notice but not let it distract you. Most people go here to study so it's appreciated that you stay quiet. I love it here.

Nice coffee shop to study. There is wifi and a few outlets with a nice amount of seating. There is also additional seating in the back for days where the weather is nice. The baristas are very friendly. It is a nice place. Come visit!
