Just moved up here from Oakland, and it’s nice to have a chill cool coffee shop to come to. I love the little alleyway it’s located in, and the food, coffee and service are great.

It's a must go. Good, simple, minimal design, friendly staff and great coffee. They have nice courtyard in front of their shop.

Ordered a small hot chocolate. It took 15+ minutes for them to make it. About 6 people who arrived after me got their drinks before I did. I saw them making it and it took them 1 minute! When I tried the hot chocolate, it tasted like stale cardboard with a hint of cinnamon and scarcely any chocolate. Really bad. Do not order, do not go here. Only 2 stars because setting/atmosphere was nice.

Great new coffee place. They purchased from the prior owner, painted and spruced up. Will be going back.

Always enjoy coming to Totem for a drink and a small bite to eat. I’ve never actually had the coffee, but their dirty chai (hot or cold) is really good. Bagels and donuts are super yummy too. Love all of the outdoor seating. Employees are always friendly. It’s a great asset to Placerville!

They make some REAL GOOD bagels! Haven't tried anything else, but I'd say 5 stars on the bagel. Given that it's a coffee shop, can't give it quite 5 stars yet until I try that.
But friendly people, great location, good place. Check it out!

Delish coffee! I had a large SF vanilla latte (with their house made SF vanilla syrup!!). Perfecly crafted and yummy! My only complaint is the size of the large cup is too small for a coffee lover like me. Great friendly staff and atmosphere!
