Rick's Restaurant & Bakery

Even though Rick's does not pretend to be a 5-star restaurant, I'm giving them 5 stars because they definitely exceeded my expectations for the type of restaurant they purport to be. Briefly, my wife and I went there Saturday morning (staying at a nearby resort) expecting a typical greasy-spoon eatery. We were very pleasantly surprised. The portions were great (large, but not gross), hash browns were perfect, everything was cooked properly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Oh, the cinnamon roll was excellent, but HUGE! We probably could have just had that and called it a morning. Our only complaint, and it is minor, is that it's a bit noisy in the dining room when lots of people are there, but not terrible.

Honestly, we were in a hurry to get out of Palm Springs early Sunday afternoon, so we stopped by again and wound up getting breakfast instead of lunch (which looked good too). I had the California Omelet Breakfast with hash browns and enjoyed every bite. But, even better, from the time we pulling into the parking lot, to the time we walked out the door, it was only 29 minutes! That's a full meal in a sit-down restaurant in under a half-hour -- and we didn't tell them we were in a hurry, they just hustled. Love this place and will definitely eat here again when we visit Palm Springs in the future.

One of the worst breakfasts I've had since moving here in 2020. Burnt, grainy pancakes that tasted of old cooktop grease, cold bacon, and my eggs were not fried as I requested. Two years ago we had a great breakfast here, but never again!

This is my “go to” breakfast place every time I’m in Palm Springs. Food is amazing, the staff has been there forever and are terrific friendly pros, and prices are reasonable. Family run. Highly recommend Rick’s.

Exactly what I wanted from a diner - I went for breakfast and sat at the counter.

The coffee came out fast and was topped up even quicker. The place still looks authentically mid century - not McMidcentury and the waitress even had a beehive.

Food was fast and tasty - and for Palm Springs not super expensive

This place was great. Super friendly staff and great service....food was fantastic. My son and I really enjoyed it.....try this place out....you won't be disappointed
