This place is a gem!
Their apple tart was so delicious (not too sweet but still full of flavors), and the mushroom and spinach quiche was also comforting to eat. (The staff will heat it up for you, and the melted cheese goes very well with the egg)
I ordered matcha latte, and there is a sugar free option. My friend had coffee and she liked is it very much as well, especially that you can refill for 1 dollar.
Though the seating area was a bit crowded, it is still a nice place to read. Wifi is provided, and you can also charge your computer here.
The bookstore at the back is very cute! Kudos for having The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse on the shelf. 😆

Quaint coffee place in Pacific Grove. Mostly locals here visiting and having a sip. Had a white mocha but tasted flat for my taste. Quite interesting a bookstore behind the coffee place. Unique.

What an awesome place! Great food and delicious baked goods (my almond pear tart was so so so good!). And the bookstore is wonderful. Loved it, came back the next day for more! Wish we lived closer!

Quaint little cafe with good atmosphere!

I had not been in this place in about a decade. I'm happy I was able to meet a colleague for coffee there today. The prices are reasonable and the pour over was good. The only drawback is that there's just one bathroom for men and women, so get in line early.

Everything was delicious, the line went quickly, there was enough seating for us on a Saturday morning at 1100. There are so many cool books and stuff for kids, my three year old went a little crazy. If I’m back in town I’ll come again.

I have lived in San Jose for 18 years. Many weekends we will go to other nearby cities. The latter we spent in Monterey and on the way back we made a stop to have lunch and relax a little more in this coffee place. What a pleasant surprise: The place occupies the entire corner, it has tables inside and two large sofas. Lots of variety of coffees and teas. I ordered a matcha and my husband a mocha with some oatmeal cookies. It also has tables on the street, we sat there and stayed until sundown.
I love supporting small or medium-sized businesses, run by families, I prefer them to large franchises.
I highly recommend this place for a relaxing time

Great little place for a coffee and browsing books. Though you can't bring your coffee into the book area, so do boods then coffee.
Good selection of kids books and trinkets/seek and find type books for the kids. The one restroom is spacious but does not have a changing table.

This space is so cute! Lovely shop for a morning coffee and pastry. We had an absolutely amazing chocolate almond croissant that was surprisingly delicious!

Ok, I have mad respect for this coffee shop. In an era where you walk into a cafe and it seems more like a coworking space than a place to relax, be present and mingle, this place seems to get it that some people are still looking for that nostalgic experience!

Some of the chairs are turned towards the windows with prime Paris-style people watching. And they set boundaries with computer users at these spots, reserving them for folks who are there to enjoy the views.

Love love love! I'll definitely be back.

Cute and cozy bookstores, lots of interesting trinkets, like the locals section. Cafe was busy midday without any tables available so I didn’t get the spinach mushroom quiche which looked good and my chai latte took a while
