I love coming to I-5 Cafe! I come here mostly for breakfast or lunch. The food is great! The service is very good, everyone is really friendly and helpful. It has a very homey atmosphere. There is also very good desserts and an ice cream shop attached. Also, Courtney is the best! 💛

Every time my Wife and I are in Orland thrifting, we stop here for a meal. Why!? The BEST diner, and food, in town. Despite the fact it's always crowded, and wait times are a bit long, the FOOD and staff make it worthwhile. I ordered the Belgium waffle, sausage, and eggs. She ordered the chicken fried steak, potatoes, and eggs. Both meals were cooked to perfection, and served rather quickly, in spite of the full establishment. The waitstaff were there quickly to offer refills on coffee, and to shoot the breeze. We always leave satisfied with zero leftovers... the food is THAT GOOD!! Please don't take my word for it... visit once and be a believer yourself.

Yum yum yum!!! Absolutely love this
place. The location is excellent, right off the 5, Orland, Hwy 32 Chico exit. I’ve been a few times and have not been disappointed. Serving breakfast and lunch, breakfast all day. Had a BAT today, Eggs Benedict with a twist. No ham, just poached egg with bacon, avocado and tomatoes instead with the hollandaise sauce and muffin. I’ll never go back to the original! Coffee is excellent, Mimosas are 95% champagne! The service is fantastic and incredibly friendly. Treat you like a local that’s been coming there for years. Don’t miss dessert, bakery on premises with just about anything you could want. Ice cream too! Great atmosphere. Lots of parking, big trucks as well. Definitely worth a stop!

The food was pretty good, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich I got I expected a little more meat but it was like a really thin layer and that was it calm but the food tasted great and the tots were absolutely delicious

We arrived a few mins before 1pm on a Sunday of Halloween weekend. The service was so long even though it wasn’t a holiday long weekend. We waited 1 hour for our food. This isn’t the type of place where you want to eat if you’re traveling on I5 and are short on time. There was no warning that the food would take this long. Yelp also had a 10% discount if you checked in so I asked the waitress about it & thought we were all set but there was no discount on our bill. I would tip negatively if I could. My friend ordered an appetizer that arrived AFTER his main dish came out (so after more than 1 hour). Additionally, my boyfriend and I each ordered a kids scoop at the ice cream place next door (prob same owners) and they gave us an adult scoop without telling us AND charged us for adult scoops. Highly don’t recommend

We stopped on 3/20/23 around 10AM to get a bite to eat and it was lovely! The parking was great for our RV, our waitress was super sweet, the food came promptly and was reasonably priced and very yummy. Will definitely go again if we pass through Orland.

While gasing up at Rolling Hills I asked one of the attendants where a good place to eat closeby was and they mentioned I5 Cafe. It was about 10;30 am on a Sunday. It was very easy access off the freeway. Walked in and they were very busy, all but one table filled, so i sat there (seat yourself). I wanted lunch and they said no problem. I ordered the Cobb salad no olives with garlic bread. The Cobb salad came with very tasty blue cheese dressing on the side, loads of bacon, tomatoes, red onion, and blue cheese. It was so fresh tasting and delicious. 10 out of 10. The garlic bread was not good, just regular bread with butter and those liquid garlic granules on top. I don't think you could even call it toasted. But no biggie because the salad was so good. Service was very friendly, and did well considering how busy they were. Lots of breakfast patrons. I will definitely be back.

First time stopping in here and it won’t be our last. Food and service was GREAT! I had the Breakfast Chicken fried steak with eggs, potatoes and toast. It was delicious. Staff were all friendly and very welcoming. Great place. Right off I-5. Easy to hop off of the freeway have a great meal and continue on your travels.

Me and my wife (and better half) are taking a trip south on I-5 and we decide we are hungry. I ask what the next place google tells us there is to eat. We get some usual options like bk or McD or Wendy’s and also we get the I-5 cafe. Been driving for a bit so a nice sit down was decided. Very glad that we did. This place was friendly and clean. Totally acceptable prices and they were quick. Wife made some special requests and everything came exactly as requested. The food was delicious and the portions were large. I will remember this place and recommend it to y’all. Thank you I-5 cafe. It is nice to see a pleasant clean restaurant on a long drive.
