I am sad to not have tried their coffee and patio. I understand, no dogs inside but they could have been polite about it and could have turned ii into a 5 star experience.
"I am sorry sir we only allow dogs on the patio or if you like we can have you wait outside and bring you order to you."
6 stars if he apologized to my cute corgi. Ha ha.
To be clear, i am not at all complaining about the no dog policy just how I was addressed.
So I went to Love's instead and, yup, got me some love.
Long time Ojai staple. Very laid back atmosphere, it's not uncommon to see small groups lingering at the outdoor cafe tables as the day goes by. I've always enjoyed their coffee choices. I'm partial to plain black coffee so I can't comment on the lattes and flavored brews but I do know they serve it hot and fresh! Funny greeting/postcard selection (probably the best intown). Service was efficient and courteous.
Wonderful variety of coffee drinks, all customizable and hot, over ice, or ice blended. Delicious tart lemonade and baked goods as well, and lovely patio seating -- all in the heart of Ojai!
Nice cozy place, funny cards to read while you wait for your drink. It's such a different comparison to Starbucks, the local coffee shop. You can see the 20+ varieties of syrups they have for drinks. Absolutely lovely place.
Hello, I was very disappointed and disgusted at the treatment I received this morning at your establishment. I was discriminated against for my disability told to leave. I explained to the young dark-haired boy at the counter that I will stand by the door to order even though I felt uncomfortable and singled-out. I tried to show him the note from my doctor as to why I can't cover my face and was told "No such thing exists." When I told him Dr. Robert Levin who extended the mandate put on Ventura County Public Health Order that certain people are exempt from wearing a face covering if they have a medical disability, he said again, "No such thing exists and to leave." Really shocked at this kind of treatment in our very small town of Ojai.
Terrible coffee shop. Staff is untrained and slow. Customer service is non existent and no place to plug in devices (even though there easily could be).
They have good coffee and above standard tea here. However their service is lackluster and the overall energy of the shop suggesed a lack of attention to detail/care and a knack for thrift. Service was prompt, however lacked courtesy.

Good coffee selection. I tried the cappuccino and the pistachio latte with organic coffee and enjoyed both. Good service as well

Love the iced teas here as well as cold brew. The standard black iced tea is one of the favorites I've ever had.

Off the main drag, but they had decent espresso drinks and pastry. Very friendly service. Spacious inside.
