Good customer service & pleasant cafe atmosphere. Worst chocolate croissant I ever tasted!

Great little place with good coffee and lots of gluten-free pastry options. The gluten-free cinnamon roll was kind of like a little brick and super sweet, the honey lavender latte was pretty good but it was lukewarm which was unfortunate. If it would have been hot it would have been fantastic! I would still come back!

I came specifically for the gluten-free stuff. No coffee. Saturday morning about 10:00 a.m. Staff wearing masks. However, less than 10% of the people jammed into the store waiting on their drinks were masked. I get not having one eating outside. I understand you can't dine inside with a mask. But, waiting in a long line, no social distancing, and the harried staff too busy to look up and say something is just wrong. Even a sign on the door says, "masks required".
Great that they offer gluten-free, because I don't eat gluten, but I won't be stopping in again. Not worth it in a tiny storefront place. There is a mask mandate in our county.

This is a little hidden gem! It's popular with Newbury Park residents but the rest of the world is blissfully unaware of this place. It serves great coffe. The food I ordered (egg frittatta) was delicious & filling. The servers were courteous & helpful. The (coffee) prices are reasonable. I plan to visit this place again and again!

espresso - they have a medium roast blend for espresso with balanced taste for acidity and earthy. I mentioned that I like more floral tastes and they adjusted the run for my taste. That's so nice when places do that.
The crema was bit too dark and had hints of over extraction still.
They didn't provide sparkling water with the espresso.
almond milk late - was well made, the foam was think and held well. Worked well with the espresso.
They made muffins locally there and the place smelled so well from the pastries and coffee.
Staff was very nice.
Good outside sitting area available in shade.

I hesitate to write this critical review because the team that works here was very friendly. I also acknowledge that it was Black Friday and quite busy. Nonetheless, with good intentions in mind, I encourage the owner/manager to invest in some barista training.
I can get over not having foam art, which our cappuccinos did not have, but I couldn’t get over the terrible taste of our drinks. It was like separated sour milk with a hint of bad espresso.
After a 15 minute wait, we watched as our espresso was pulled and proceeded to sit in a pouring jar and then our cup for more than 5 minutes. The flat, separated milk was unceremoniously dumped into the cold, oxidized espresso resulting in a lumpy off-white concoction that would only be acceptable as a decent cappuccino at the free breakfast buffet of a mid-priced hotel chain.
The chaos behind the bar discouraged us from asking for our drinks to be remade. Our drinks tasted so bad we just threw them away after the first couple sips.
Kindness is hard to train, which thankfully, the folks here seemed not to lack. They just need a little help with the coffee-making part.

All time favorite coffee shop!! Best espresso drinks made with their own roasted beans. Freshly made in-house baked goods. A variety of yummy bfast options. All around great place to come plug in and work a couple of hours or meet up with a friend. The owner and employees are super friendly. We love ragamuffin!!
