Really nice Cafe in downtown Nevada City. Super friendly staff. We had a late breakfast on a Wednesday. The food was prepared exactly to order. Very delicious. My granddaughter was excited about how good their syrup is.
I don't usually enjoy small California restaurants. My experience has been most if them try to put their own spin on foods that don't need any changes. Things like bacon and eggs, pancakes, etc. This place has some of that, but they also have really good normal breakfast food. I had bacon-n-eggs, potatoes, and toast. The bacon was really thick, but the cook made it nice and crispy per my request. The eggs were great and the toast was super good.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated with fresh wildflowers in cups of water and really cool art pieces. A lot of items there are recycled/re-purposed. I really liked the old pieces of pipe they mounted in the restrooms to hold the tissue.
Great spot! I will definitely eat there again on my next visit to Nevada City.

Had a wonderful, healthy breakfast with a great table in the window. The tofu scramble was yummy. They source their food from a lot of local farms and businesses. Their own roast from Caroline’s Coffee was great too!

Cute little place in downtown Nevada city for breakfast. My son was a big fan of the French toast.(I was happy it had real maple Instead of the high fructose corn syrup, syrup that most these types of places have). Tofu scramble was pretty good too!

Really happy with the change in atmosphere in this place. And the new menu is fantastic. I had the huevos rancheros, and kids had pancakes and french toast. Great new energy from the new owners.

Organized counter order restaurant. Food was decent, although breakfast potatoes were over loaded with bell pepper and onion...need to have another option available for those who don't want bell pepper in the morning. Egg benedict was delicious

No table service which for me important for having breakfast. Food was luke warm. Order at the cash register, pay, they give you a number to display at your table, and they bring your order. Smallest coffee cups ever, maybe 4 oz. Will not return, but some friends like it.

Delicious French Toast combo with two eggs and a side of ham and the fantastic South Pine St. Berry Compôte, served piping hot with real butter and Vermont maple syrup - Excellent coffee and service - the snowflakes are falling outside and the children are clomping up and down the bathroom ramp in their snow boots to the beat of the Christmas carols - Perfect breakfast spot, love this place on S. Pine St.

Food and service were fine. Music was so loud, we couldn’t hear our conversation. Speakers directly over dining area. Asked staff to turn down which they did but 2 minutes later it was turned up again. Before your first coffee, loud pop music does not make for a good experience. Having been a waiter, I know music rives you up for the work. Diners however are trying to enjoy and digest and might enjoy the opportunity to converse with each other. Impossible here. Too bad. They had everything else going for them
